Excitement is building for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, and with merchandise now in stores and tickets on sale, all eyes are on this final chapter in the "Skywalker Saga" to deliver a great ending.

After all, it's the ninth instalment in the long-running series and a movie that will reportedly bring an end to the story that began with A New Hope. That's no easy task on J.J. Abrams' part, but the latest trailer for the movie definitely didn't disappoint and it was full of unmissable moments.

Seems to suffer from the creators being more into the film mythology than the fans.

Palpatine being weaved through every film is more of a 'neat' idea than a 'great' idea.

@WilliamCipher - It could, I'm burned by two things:
Set-ups that didn't pay off in the last film
Insulting the fans for having theories

It just seems like the last director flat out ridiculed people for getting excited and wondering too deeply. The "swerves" he pulled boiled down to telling fans it's not their place to think beyond or imagine more than what is fed to them.

Maybe it's just me and cloud forming... BUT, does anyone else see a extremely slight silhouetted Palpatine sitting in that throne when the lightening strikes hit? Just barely there?

Where the hell are the other kinds of lightsabers in these films? No green or purple ones. Everything is just blue or red. So boring.

C-3PO erases himself/ his memory/ dies to help the resistance. Anakin force ghost (all sources point to major force ghost activity anyway) will repair/ reveal a backup system and bring him back at the end.
