Truth be told, a lot of these so-called Star Wars purists would be first in line to see a version of The Last Jedi that looked like the poster below.
Los Angeles-based graphic artist Fernando Reza achieved viral status with his illustration of what these fans likely want in a Star Wars movie - Luke front-and-center, Leia back in her slave costume and Rey regulated to baking. Reza also reimagined Finn as a Cyborg that's hunting down Rose.
Oh, and try to look at Kylo Ren and Snoke without laughing.
Mark Hamill also weighed on the poster,
Tweeting, "It kind of speaks for itself, doesn't it?"
