Following a leak of the first teaser for Christopher Nolan's Tenet a couple of weeks ago, a much better version has found its way online. You probably won't have a clue what's going on, but check it out...

The teaser trailer for Christopher Nolan's Tenet has now found its way online, and while it still hasn't been officially released by Warner Bros., this is a fairly decent version.

Unfortunately, the subtitles are not in English (not that it'd make much sense even if they were!), but the footage shows John David Washington's lead examining what appears to be a flaw in some glass, most likely made by a bullet. We then get some flashes of his character in various dangerous-looking situations, and a final shot of him inhaling some kind of gas.

All we really know about Tenet's story is that it's "an action epic evolving from the world of international espionage," but this teaser would seem to suggest that there will also be a sci-fi element to the plot.

Tenet also stars Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Dimple Kapadia, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Clémence Poésy, Michael Caine and Kenneth Branagh. The film is set for release on July 17, 2020.

do we have any idea of the premisse of this film ? i have to give Nolan credit for the projects he tackles, because they seem so versed and off beat, thought provoking imo.

@knocturnalzen10 - several people are speculating that this could be an Inception sequel. It has a similar vibe and there were several scripts for Inception 2 that were never green lit.

Michael Caine is probably the first actor Nolan calls up for all of his movies, lol.

Hopefully this is a return to form for Nolan, though this teaser gives us nothing so hard to tell. Dude hasn't had a "great" film since Inception.

I'm really surprised at some of the negativity towards Dunkirk at times, that movie was close to perfect in my opinion.

How [frick]ing cool is it that Nolan has carte blanche to make $200m+ original films? The kind of films that no-one else is making right now, and he's only getting better at his craft after how good Dunkirk was. This and Dune are neck & neck for me as far as 2020 films go, and I love the main trio he's assembled with Washington, Pattinson & Debicki.
