SPOILER: Mads Mikkelsen Reveals The Identity Of His ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY Character

The identities of several of the key Rogue One: A Star Wars Story players still remain a mystery, but we can scratch one off the list. Mads Mikkelsen was quizzed about his upcoming roles in both Doctor Strange and Rogue One during an interview with Sky News, and seemingly inadvertently revealed a very interesting and important detail about his character in the latter.

“I read the script. It was very beautiful and Felicity’s playing this lovely, strong woman [and] I play her father, and… uhh, that’s too much, I’m sorry!”

You should be sorry Mads, you've just launched a thousand think pieces.

Seriously though, that is a pretty big reveal when you think about it. The Rogue One trailer seems to imply that Jyn is a complete loner without a family, so it's possible that her reconnecting with her estranged dad Galen (yep, Mikklesen previously let that slip too) is one of the film's major plot points.

Anyway, we'll let you guys speculate away. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is set to be released on December 16th.
