Awesome New Look At SHAZAM! Revealed As Zachary Levi Discusses His Disappointment With THOR Franchise

An awesome new shot of Zachary Levi's Shazam has been revealed, and DC fans should definitely be happy with this. The actor also discusses his disappointment about what happened with The Warriors Three...

Warner Bros. finally appears to be giving Shazam! a push because the movie has received the spotlight in the latest issue of Empire Magazine.

As you can see below, the feature brings an incredible new still with it, as Zachary Levi's titular hero can be seen standing tall in all of his red, white, and golden glory.

The costume definitely appears to have received something of an overhaul since those early set photos and it no longer looks as fake or padded now the finishing touches have been made to it.

Of course, Shazam! isn't the only superhero movie Levi has appeared in. He took on the role of Fandral in Thor: The Dark World and Thor: Ragnarok but much to the annoyance of fans, The Warriors Three never received the spotlight they deserved.

"I just don’t think those characters were quite utilised to the best of their abilities," the actor said when asked for his thoughts on how things played out. "Thor and the Warriors Three could have been a really cool little trilogy of team movies, and we didn’t really have that much impact. Particularly not in Ragnarok – I mean, I didn’t even have a line."

The Warriors Three were used just fine in Thor 1, I have no idea why people are so down on them in that. I loved them all frankly, besides Jaimie Alexander being a bit cheese as Sif.

Thor: The Dark World was when people got annoyed at their lack of usage, and honestly with all the hype that Ragnarok was gonna turn things around for the better, they should have used that opportunity to give them the screen-time they missed out on [in 2]. Instead Taika just... ugh. I can't forgive him for that.

I never liked the Warriors Three in the comics (except Sif), so their underuse in the movies never really bothered me.

However, it has all worked out. Levi is DOING IT BIG now.

@Soos - I respect that they have great history and I've tried to get into them but I just cant.

I definitely see how they have been wasted though, when you consider the deep lore they have.

The warriors three were indeed really wasted, especially in Ragnarok were it wasn't more than a cameo. Anyway, Levi looks really cool suited up. Only the gold boots look a bit off to me

I figured Avengers End Game would be the last superhero movie I go to but this film certainly has my attention. Also had no idea he was in Thor as those movies were so forgettable...Well I never saw 3 so I can't say on that one...but the first 2...

@Soos - Its been hinted at in the second trailer and confirmed in this so I'm 100% sure it'll appear in the actual film! Now whether or not it does anything we will have to see...

@Soos - More likely original monsters that legendary didn't have to pay for. Plus the beast under the hill doesn't look much at all like Anguirus from that new teaser. Honestly looks more like Varan so far.

The Thor franchise didn't do such a good job with world building and supporting characters not named Loki, so I do agree that the Warriors Three definitely were made useless even though I know nothing about them from the comics.

But at least Levi has Shazam now...but there's something about his face that doesn't sell me as Captain Marvel. The suit looks nice though.
