Cooper Andrews will be taking a break from being awesome as Jerry on The Walking Dead (hopefully not a permanent one) to play Billy Batson's foster father in the upcoming DC Comics flick, Shazam!
Deadline doesn't specify his character's name, but if they follow the source material it'll most likely be Victor Vasquez.
Andrews is just the latest addition to a still-growing cast which also includes Asher Angel as Billy, Jack Dylan Grazer as Freddy, Grace Fulton as Mary, and Zachary Levi as the titular hero.
David F. Sandberg is set to begin shooting Shazam! early next year for a 2019 release.
