Fans have been hoping to see a new trailer for the Shazam! movie for quite a while now, but with the DC superhero flick set to fly into theaters on April 5, we shouldn't have too much longer to wait.

In the meantime, Warner Bros. has debuted a new TV spot to keep us going.

The teaser features several new shots of The Big Red Cheese (Zachary Levi) zipping around the city, and we also get another look at the villainous Doctor Sivana (Mark Strong) as he quizzes the "basically" fifteen-year-old hero about his age. Plus, there's a fun moment with Billy, Freddy and little Darla Dudley (Faithe Herman).

Check it below, and let us know if you're looking forward to Shazam's big-screen debut.

We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson’s (Asher Angel) case, by shouting out one word—SHAZAM!—this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult Super Hero Shazam (Zachary Levi), courtesy of an ancient wizard (Djimon Hounsou). Still a kid at heart—inside a ripped, godlike body—Shazam revels in this adult version of himself by doing what any teen would do with superpowers: have fun with them! Can he fly? Does he have X-ray vision? Can he shoot lightning out of his hands? Can he skip his social studies test? Shazam sets out to test the limits of his abilities with the joyful recklessness of a child. But he’ll need to master these powers quickly in order to fight the deadly forces of evil controlled by Dr. Thaddeus Sivana (Mark Strong).

@MikeDrop1 - I think captain marvel will be great but this has a chance to be something special in my opinion. This movie can have a lot of heart with the family and kids working together this can be almost the goonies of comic book movie.

@Grodd87 - Really? You counting in Infinity War? Captain Marvel? Spiderman: Far from Home?

Shazam is gonna be incredible and one of four FANTASTIC comic book movies this year.

@bropous - I am not knocking those films I think they will all be great but when I walk into a marvel movie I know what I am getting a fun movie they have a formula and it’s great. I think with Shazam it’s a new concept and could be a home run. Foster kids who don’t have anything except each other granted power to protect people even know they where abounded at one point in there life.

@Grodd87 - I have been psyched about this will be from day one. Always like Capt. Marvel after the Superman Captain Thunder comic back in the 70s. I'm just hoping we get more than a cameo from the Marvel family.

@SpideyQuad - I think they will be the heart of the family I bet the core of the movie is that billy might have all of this power but he can’t do it without family. Second act is him losing 3rd act is the family.

God bless the way SHAZAM moves. There's a zeal to the way his flying and speed are portrayed that I have always wanted to see with Superman.

I remember when the trailers for both Aquaman and Shazam came out, I was more excited for Shazam and even now I am more so.
Comes out on the 5th of April which is the same day I go on holiday to Malaga, so won't see it for a week or so.

@SimplyAz - I am just glad the tone of the film appears to not take itself too seriously. It does look like a lot of fun!
