Cameras are still rolling on Shazam! Fury of the Gods ahead of its 2023 release (we're not sure what the long wait is all about either), and that means more set photos and a video have been shared online!
Here we see Shazam (Zachary Levi) and The Wizard (Djimon Hounsou) watching on as Rachel Zegler's mysterious character locks lips with Freddy Freeman in his human form. Rumor has it that the actress is playing one of Atlas' daughters and a sister to Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu's villains.
We don't know whether she sees the error of her ways or is just romancing Freddy in an effort to earn the trust of the Shazam Family. Either way, there have been rumblings about a romantic subplot between Jack Dylan Grazer and Zegler's for a while now, and we can't help but wonder whether this could lead to tension between best friends Freddy and Billy Batson.
Each of the characters are that little bit older now, so hormones are almost certainly kicking in. That could lead to the Shazam! sequel having a very different feel, and there's already a lot of speculation online that the title hero and Mary Marvel could similarly find romance in David F. Sandberg's movie.
