Shazam: Fury of The Gods director David F. Sandberg recently unveiled the first official teaser promo for the DC Comics sequel with the promise of a full trailer soon(ish). We probably won't see that until DC FanDome in October, but in the meantime, we do have an unofficial first look at Rachel Zegler in full costume.
The set video shows the West Side Story star filming a scene in a golden superhero outfit, which looks quite similar to the colorful duds members of the Shazam Family wore in the first movie. Zegler is believed to be playing a villain, but some recently leaked details about her character suggest that she might be posing as an ally of Billy Batson (Asher Angel) and Freddy Freeman (Jack Dylan Grazer) in an attempt to gain their trust.
That's just speculation based on the information available, but at the time she was cast, Zegler was said to have taken on the role of the youngest of three sisters, and we know Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu will play villainous sisters Hespera and Kalypso.
Shazam: Fury of the Gods is set to hit theaters on June 2, 2023.
