In the latest interview for the 28-year-old star, Andrew Garfield has admitted he "felt like he was serving something greater than me" while filming The Amazing Spider-Man. I'll admit, hearing actors say things like that about iconic superhero roles usually wins my support. The US-born, British-raised Garfield plays the iconic Marvel superhero in Sony's reboot of the Sam Raimi trilogy, and said he was aware of the immense pressure surrounding the film. Said Garfield, "All the way through filming the Spider-Man movie, I felt like I was serving something greater than me. I wouldn't have done it if I didn't. That character has been an important character to me since I was a kid. And all my concern was to make sure that Peter Parker and the symbol of Spider-Man were treated with the reverence that I have for them." Garfield also admitted that he's be in touch with his predecessor Tobey Maguire and is currently preparing for all the things that will come with a successful Spider-Man movie.
