Love actors saying that they are also fans of who it is they are portraying, I'm really looking forward to this movie

Te final part of your teaser should read: "actor Andrew Garfield continues to say all the SAME things":)

@Nomis I don't understand why you think this looks like Twilight? It isn't a vampire movie. Because of his hair? That's ridiculous.

Garfield is going to be great. I'm really looking forward to this movie!

@Nomis. Agreed. Hope I'm wrong. This movie seems to be trying so much to look cool and gritty I'm afraid of the overall content.

It just seems too dark to be spiderman.

The fact that he wants to be spiderman so badly jus tells you how much he will do for the franchise

I like them carrying on this genetic altering theme they seem to be going with. I'd love to see Vulture, Scorpion, and Rhino realized on-screen. Maybe have The Jackal or Chameleon as a mastermind.

And to the naysayers...

Sorry, but "Spider-Man: Twilight" were the 3 previous movies, with all that "oh Mary Jane, I love you so much, but I can't have you, and all the villains have to come after you..." not to mention the crying-boring-retarded Peter Parker.

Still love the first 2 movies, but could be better, and I hope now is the time.

Great, the same thing he's said a million times before. Fantastic actor and I can't wait to see him as Spidey, but he really needs to work on freshening up his material. It's like Chris Hemsworth's story of stealing Mjolnir for his brother all over again. :P

"I felt like I was serving something greater than me. I wouldn't have done it if I didn't."

Yeah...sure. Anyone being offered the role of Spiderman would have jumped at the chance. Does that mean all the other roles he has played he also felt the same otherwise he wouldn't have done them? Give it a rest already, Garfield. We get you are glad you got the part, but it is getting a bit patronizing now.

Im super pumped for spidey, but i think it might not be as cool as it would have been if avengers wasn't coming out right before it. I think avengers is gonna set a really crazy standard for the rest of the summer, so bats an spidey better show up with the best movies of their entire franchise, or they are gonna be a let down compared to avengers.

@Just1Superguy If they were really trying to bleed the franchise dry, they would've simply recast most of the characters and made Spider-Man 4. And why do people keep mentioning his so-called "Twilight hair"? That bitch-ass vampire had spiky hair and looked like he was high.

@Jaspion, Finally, finally someone agrees with me on the old unfaithful Sam Raimi Spider-man, now get this... 'I' in noway knock Tobey Maguires performance he was just doing what he was told, but how Sam Raimi had him bitchin and cryin about Mary Jane and acting soft and a complete bore (0 wise cracking) through 3 films was just so annoying, now don't get me wrong I loved these movies when they came out, but back then I was too young to understand that the same plot devices were being used over and over again... I mean really , how many times is this guy gonna have to save this chick it gets extremely redundant... I mean what did the bitch ever do to deserve all of that saving.

So with all of that said im here to welcome this new Marc Webb vision thats actually more faithfull to the comic, oh and some retard mentioned earlier that spider-man is not supposed to be dark, so what, its suppossed to be the politically correct lamer version of the character, and to settle that alot of the Spider-man comic runs were dark, those are actually the ones I grew up with... so I say dirty it up some, make it gritty and darker cause God knows
We had too much of that my little pony spider-man.

@Spiderassassin: Agreed. He looks like he stepped out of the comics, and unlike Maguire, who was decent, he knows how to crack jokes, and perhaps most important, he understands the character. So glad this movie is going back to Peter's roots, exploring angles that haven't been touched upon, such as his parents. Very interested in seeing how that plays out. It'll be better than the same old, same old.

@Coolant: Agreed. I haven't watched those Raimi movies in years. Still like them, except 3, but ever since I heard about this reboot, I blocked the others out because I know this is going to be the Spiderman movie I've been waiting for. Yeah, Spiderman isn't particularly dark, even though there are numerous things that happen in his life that fit into that category... the death of Gwen for instance. But this new approach is definitely better than having him cry and yank off his mask every 5 seconds. I agree with you 100%
