Can’t Disney just snap Dark Phoenix away?

@PlusUltra - They can snap away projects that haven't filmed yet. But (as far as we know), Dark Phoenix is pretty much finished and ready to go. Let them have their last hoorah, so we can laugh at their RT score.

I know I'm in the minority but I would still like to see Dark Phoenix in theaters. For the most part I like the cast as most of them are great actors. I have doubts as this is Kinberg's 1st film, Sophie Turner's a terrible actor, and there has been almost no marketing for this film so it feels like a write-off for FOX. I'm not too diehard about the continuity or "comic book elements" missing or being inaccurate.

I has a huge fan of X1, X2, 1st class, & DOFP. I thought Apocalypse is slightly underrated it's not that bad but not as good as the previous either.

@PlusUltra - I guess I'll see Dark Phoenix in theaters, mainly because I want to see Quicksilver. But yeah, they won't kill it because it's in post-production already.

Hey, do we even know what is solid on the slate for Marvel Studios after Far From Home?
LiteraryJoe

@bropous - Looking like Eternals, Shang Chi, Black Widow, Spidey 3, Strange 2, BP2 at the very least.

Maybe Gotg3, Black Knight, and CM2. Secret Wars probably ends this phase.

@LiteraryJoe - Potentially Ant Man 3 but I see a F4 movie coming for their 60th reunion.

Will they retain their television entertainment networks like FX?

@bropous - Disney will own FX now. I don't expect much to change with the channel itself though.

According to Deadline, this kind of thing “isn’t unusual as other major studios, such as Universal and Disney, have skipped the exhibitor confab in the past.”

As for a reason, they say “it’s strategic decision. Given how prolific their slate is, we hear the studio would prefer to drop footage, and create buzz about their event titles at various intervals throughout the year, rather in one big swoop.“

@Chewtoy -Agreed. It''s also a sign Marvel's getting more creative control over the Spider-Man film franchise with all points signalling he will return to Marvel for good this year or next year or Disney will buy Sony outright(as predicted as part of the sources seeing the endgame of the Sony-Marvel deal.)
