SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME Concept Art Reveals More Crazy Illusions And Alternate Takes On The Final Battle

Another batch of Spider-Man: Far From Home concept art has found its way online to coincide with the movie's Digital release, and it shows the web-slinger battling some monstrous, massive spiders...

Spider-Man: Far From Home is now available on Digital platforms, and concept artist Henrik Tamm has revealed even more of his work from the final Marvel Studios/Sony Pictures collaboration.

We kick things off with some crazy illusion sequences, as Peter Parker finds himself trapped in various mazes and in battles against gigantic spiders clearly desperate to ensnare him in their webs. Then, we have some different takes on the final battle as the web-slinger goes head to head with some gigantic Elementals (not to mention Mysterio's drones).

There are also some amazing pieces showing Aunt May testing out Spider-Man's "Peter-Tingle" and Quentin Beck seemingly trying to escape the hero's clutches via one of those drones.

At first viewing I walked out of FFH blown away by what they did with the movie, but also somewhat disappointed that the usually elaborate Mysterio illusions really boiled down to 'really complex drone usage', but since I've gotten to rewatch the illusion scene and the final battle I'm even more impressed with how tense and relentless they made that. I think I still would've preferred more traditional and elaborate illusions, but they really got way more out of that concept than they had any right to

After watching this again the other night (still holds up, best Spider-Man movie imo), the Mysterio that gets hit by the drone's bullet totally appears to be the illusion one that's sitting on the ground. Once Peter breaks the illusion, the 'real' Mysterio just falls on the ground and 'dies'. Looks like a fake-out the more I watch it.

It seems as if a lot of us here recently rewatched this. It’s definitely below homecoming overall, but that illusion scene was great and I also liked the death weary Peter who just wanted to do kid stuff. I hope we get more in-depth reactions to dying in the next few MCU movies

Also, it was nice to FINALLY see how the nanobots function outside of the ill defined visuals we've seen Tony Stark use.

I think BP did a good job of it, specifically because it shows the clothes of the user getting burned off which explains how it can be so form fitting, but stuff like this gets me even more jazzed for them to adapt F4 where they can get deeper into the science side of things

It's strange going into this studio divorce coming off of the most successful Spider-Man movie ever. I'm much more used to this being caused by a critical/commercial failure. I literally grew up with that happening twice. But now...I was so hyped coming off a cliffhanger from my favorite Spider-Man movie so far, and I still loved the movie seeing it for like the 4th time the other night, I just want to see them continue this story. But now we have to hit the rest button again, by force. Just a giant momentum killer.

Although I wasn't a fan of how they handled the twist (which should've happened right at the beginning), the visuals were on of the best in the MCU so far

Aunt May shooting Pete with a paintball gun to test his the "Peter-Tingle" would have been such a fun scene that would have had a great pay off at the end.
