I think they doubt whether they should make it the 'Oscorp Tower' or 'Baxter Building'.

@Unites - there’s no way they would have those scenes in Homecoming then. There’s a method to the madness. This is the game Feige wants us to play.

@Unites -

Oscorp Tower ?

with Sony having the rights to it ??

not a chance.

Baxter building in the other hand....

more likely !

@Equivocal - doesn’t feel like the Baxter building. I’d expect more grey/white with blue tint. This building looked like it had a green tint. May have to take a look at it again

As always with Marvel....Frustrating but ultimately really worth it..

I'd bet it will be the Baxter building, they are looking to return the FF back in to the MCU THE RIGHT WAY and that would make sense, Oscorp would also make sense as would a movement towards the Sinister 6 but GG back in a Spider-man film again so soon after the previous versions, too soon I think, a great idea for the future but maybe too soon.

As for the reveal at the very end which I'll not directly say what it is, well I'd imagine the Stark tech, a Mr Banner and Avengers could tinker with that to discredit the reveal and protect a certain person....NO TIME TRAVEL THO!!!

@Mclane - no that is Dr. Strange’s department.

@Mclane - nobody said Green Goblin. Norman Osborn? Yes. When was the last time we’ve actually seen Osborn in a meaty role? Over a decade ago? And don’t even count tasm cause that was a in the shadow cameo. General audiences prob didn’t even know who that was.

I really think they just went ahead with selling the tower without having really decided yet what to do with that story thread

What if it is Parker Industries as he has the tech, Tony commissioned the building to be built in Parker’s name in case of death.

I didn’t even realize that was supposed to be the same building...

Why would marvel/Disney set up phase 4 with Norm as the main villain. What if Sony decides to go and do their own thing and decides not to share Spider-Man... too much of a risk.... unless Disney decides to just give Sony 10 billion for Spider-Man.
Frshcoupe
Frshcoupe - 7/4/2019, 5:00 AM
@NOID - that sounds like too much money lol. Maybe $5B.

I think you’re right. They’re leaving it open because if Sony doesn’t play ball they will go with it being the Baxter building. If Sony and Marvel strike a longer term deal then it can be OSCORP.

NOID - 7/4/2019, 5:24 AM
@Frshcoupe - I just know that if marvel isn’t the one making the calls on Spider-Man, I’m not interested. No trust in SONY

I’m glad that there wasn’t anything that’s truly sets up phase 4 or the next movie...like the next villain in Spidey 3 or the next big bad in phase 4. It would’ve been too much. The JJJ thing was all we need..it’s a hint of what’s to come theme wise but that’s it. I also think they didn’t put too much in this movie by way of setting up the future because we will get a lot of answers soon with Comic Con around the corner.

Zendaya is NOT MARY JANE!!!!! KEVIN FIEGIE HIMSELF HAS CONFIRMED IT! "She's not Mary Jane and never was" so its not a fresh take on the character because its not the character!!!

Having said that the film was AMAZING! Spider Man 2 is still the best, FFH is still brilliant!! I wish I could post a review. Mysterio was perfect! And the best part..... THEY BROUGHT BACK J.K. SIMMONS AS J.J.J!! YES!! YES!! YES!!!! THANK GOD!!! YES! BEST DECISION MARVEL HAS MADE!! YES!

Didn’t they show the building at the end of the movie? When Spider-Man is swinging to MJ or I’m going crazy.
kolatrl

I was informed by MaskandHammer via Twitter that this took place:

“So at the end before Peter picks up MJ he webs 🕸 through a hole in a newly built building, I’m pretty sure this was where Stark/Avengers tower was and now have a new owner but we don’t know who this is.
When Spidey is talking to MJ on ground level there is a banner on the fencing like you see on construction sites saying “we can’t wait to show you... what comes next” with the numbers 1,2,3....? And a question mark where the 4 would be. I took this as this could be Fantastic 4, and the new building in the plot of where avengers tower was will be the Baxter Building.”

So i’m sticking with this for now. they did finish the movie following the merger so this very well could be a last minute teaser planted for us to find. maybe it’s just a coincidence, but either way i’m excited to see what Marvel does next with Spidey!

@kolatrl - Or it could refer to phase 4?

Baxter Building, but Osborn will take over it by the time we get around to Dark Avengers. Best of both.

They're not going to hang their proprietary characters in a story-line dependent on characters (villains) shared with Sony. It's just not going to happen. Even with Spider-Man, as integral as he seems in IW and Endgame, he could have been replaced with any other previously unknown hero and had the same outcome. Holland could have played a reworked Iron Lad in the Avengers series (CW-EG) and nobody would have ever known the difference story-wise. Or he could hae been removed altogether and had relatively little impact on the final product as well. I like that Marvel has a hand in Spidey, but he's been bonus fun for the shared movies he's been in. Fun, but bonus fun in already fun movies.
