My guess is that its the Baxter building being built over what used to be the Avengers tower. We already had one reference to Baxter in the MCU. The other possible buyer is Oscorp, but something Fantastic Four related seems more likely. Its not going to be SHIELD.

My guess is that when Homecoming came out, the original plan was to have Oscorp be the eventual buyer if the status quo with Marvel properties didn't change. But he left it open ended so that they could make anyone the future buyer. Its smart planning on Feige's part, because you don't back yourself into a corner and you leave your options open.

@HeavyMetal4Life - I either missed this or being forgetful. What was the Baxter building reference in the MCU?

@HeavyMetal4Life - What reference to the Baxter Building in the MCU?

Seeing as how they would be breaking contract guidelines with Fox if they mentioned anything that could be considered an actual reference that they are in the MCU I find this one hard to believe or just people seeing/hearing something that they WANT it to be when it isn't.

@Tonic24k @CorndogBurglar-

"42 Baxter" is the location of Typhoid Mary and Danny Rand fighting Davos.

@HeavyMetal4Life - Oh really? I hadn't noticed that.

Technically the Baxter Building is on 42nd and Madison, but I can't argue with this. That's a pretty obvious call out to the F4.

It's possible that Fox had already made the decision to sell and knew that if they tried to sue over this they would lose out on a much bigger paycheck if Disney decided not to buy Fox after being sued by them.

But who knows really?

@CorndogBurglar - yeah the building the fight took in, where Davos had been hiding early on and had the Crane sisters tattoo him was under construction.

At this point in time when they would have filmed this scene, the Fox deal would have already been underway. So perhaps the restrictions were loosened up a little. Though Marvel TV has fewer restrictions than the films and can use or reference stuff that would have otherwise been off limits.

I think it will be something that doesn't seem important at first, but eventually turns out to be something really important in a future movie (that doesn't necessarily has to be Spider-Man)

As much wishful thinking I would want it to be the Baxter building, I’m going with Oscorp. There’s a lot of build up and rumors pointing towards Dark Avengers, and Norman is one of the Spidey villains that doesn’t seem to be on Sony’s radar. It would also give the potential for the MCU (if the direction they go for post Endgame) that Norman could basically be an anti-Stark taking his place.

But if it’s the Baxter Building. [frick] yeah

I doubt it will be confirmed for a while but my money is it's definitely now the Baxter Building.
