I agree with 5 and 4. But looks like a fun movie despite this.

@CAPTAINPINKEYE - i feel like josh is overreaching because most of this his faults are not faults and I thought you have to see a movie first before criticizing

@Anonymous47 - that being said here we are with all our wisdom making sure Josh's bills are getting paid with every comment we post.
Let's all turn off our computers and go outside and play. LOL!

They only thing wrong Marvel is doing is approving those latest posters just smeared in photoshop AND not stopping Sony from making a terrible mistake of not connecting any of their planned spin offs to the MCU SpiderMan.

Personally, I kind of wished they went the Antman route with Spider-Man. Ant-Man is obviously in the MCU. They mention the avengers but the movie felt like its own thing. It felt like a phase 1 film. Sure, flacon appeared which was a welcome surprise but it never felt like they were trying hard to let us know that it was in the MCU. I know a lot of people will say that after the mixed response of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 that they need to bring people on board for spidey again (even though I liked TASM 2) But I feel they could of just had the limousine scene with Peter and Tony and it would of been clear enough.

I don't think they will make him Tony's bitch, it's just supposed to look like that for now.

The Venom stuff pisses me off.

"One Too Many Ties To The Avengers"

Wants Spider-Man in the MCU.

Complains that they reference the MCU and connect his villains to the bigger universe.

You people are never [frick]ing satisfied.

@Mrcool210 - LOL! I think the references have been a bit strong....but I get why Marvel is doing that.

@Mrcool210 - I thought people wanted spidey in the MCU because they felt only Marvel studios can make a good spidey film and not for the connections.
Mrcool210
Mrcool210 - 5/25/2017, 8:23 AM
@Highflyer - That is true, however with how many connections are through all of the MCU movies having Spider-Man in the MCU and not expecting them to have those connections especially when he is in the city that the big climatic fight from the avengers took place is kind of dumb. Spider-Man even in the comics was largely connected to everything so having him and his rouges gallery play into the bigger MCU makes sense.

If they were doing this with GOTG I would understand the complaint (like for example if somehow all of the guardians just knew about the avengers) But with Spider-Man he kind of goes hand in hand with the rest of the MCU non cosmic side.

@Mrcool210 - I think the best way I can describe the MCU situation is by comparing it to weather. When its freezing cold and you have to wear a bunch of jackets, you wish it was sunny. When its scorching hot you seek out some shade to cool off. There has to be a middle ground. Bad example but oh well.
