SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME's Tom Holland Calls INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE "One Of The Coolest Films" He's Seen

Tom Holland, who plays Peter Parker in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, shared his thoughts on Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Check out what the Far From Home star had to say about Sony's animated film.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse swung into theaters this week and just about everyone on the internet is loving it. That includes Tom Holland, the actor who plays Peter Parker in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The 22-year-old saw the animated film this weekend and shared his thoughts on social media. Like the rest of us, he was also impressed with what he saw, calling Into the Spider-Verse "one of the coolest films I've ever seen" and encouraging everyone to go out and see it.

Holland has first-hand knowledge of what it's like to portray the iconic Marvel character on the big screen and with Into the Spider-Verse offering multiple iterations of the web-slinger, it's cool to see Holland praise the movie. As both the movie and Holland's post proves, there's plenty of room in for multiple takes on the Spider-Man character.

But he's hardly the only one gushing over the animated film, which opened to an impressive $35.4 million launch and earned the Spider-Man franchise's first A+ Cinemascore. Spider-Gwen co-creator Jason Latour also called it a "game-changer" for comic book movies.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is now playing in theaters. Meanwhile, you'll be able to catch Holland's Peter Parker on the big screen when Avengers: Endgame hits theaters April 26, 2019. He'll return to theaters again next year in his own standalone movie, Spider-Man: Far From Home, which opens in July.

@MaximusTheMad - Real Spidey fans wouldn't tolerate any more variants after the Ben Riley fiasco. This is just a Costco sized multi-pack of cheesy branded Spider Knock-offs.

The sloppy, overly goofy character animation style is a total insult, but after the actual animation war crime of Spectacular Spider-Man, one can only hope that Sony will someday actually invest in a slick, cool looking Spider-Man cartoon.

Anyone else think with the success of Spider-Man PS4, Into The Spider-Verse, the current comics, & the failure of the current Spider-Man cartoon that making Spider-Man a HS kid in the MCU was a bad decision?

For the record, not saying he should be an adult but I’ve said since Marvel got to share the rights with Sony that they should make him a college student.
