Reviews for Spider-Man: No Way Home started dropping shortly after the world premiere took place on Monday night. While the wall-crawler's latest movie was sitting comfortably at 100% for a time, more verdicts have now been added, and Rotten Tomatoes has awarded it "Certified Fresh" status.

A total of 140 reviews have been counted and with 132 Fresh and just 8 Rotten, it has a 94% score. As of right now, Spider-Man: No Way Home is the best-reviewed live-action solo movie featuring the hero. The Oscar-winning animated feature Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse has 97% from 393 reviews.

The threequel has also received a Critics Consensus: "A bigger, bolder Spider-Man sequel, No Way Home expands the franchise's scope and stakes without losing sight of its humor and heart."

That feels like an appropriate way to describe this very special Spider-Man movie, and we're sure that those of you waiting to watch it tonight or over the weekend will soon agree. Recently, we caught up with star Tom Holland for a spoiler-free chat, and you can find that by clicking here

"Spider-Man: No Way Home is the greatest Marvel movie ever made. Period," we said in our recent review. "As epic as it is emotional, this is not only a perfect blockbuster, but Spider-Man’s wildest, funniest, and most awe-inspiring adventure yet. It's a Marvel masterpiece."

Perfect article to post this, lol.

Tried to stay spoiler-free and pretty vague, but if you don't wanna risk it, then stop here!

Seen it.

I hate being a sourpuss!!!! >:(

I already know i'm gonna end up in the minority but here it goes...

For me it was probably the most SOULESS and CORPORATE DRIVEN effort from Marvel Studios in recent memory, maybe ever.
Ok, maybe not totally souless.
And i can't believe i find myself saying this stuff in a span of...shit, WEEKS from Eternals, unbelievable.

There is one big SAD moment for Holland that basically breaks the movie in 2 and everything before that moment (that moment included) was absolute ass juice imho.

Words cannot describe the P A I N i had to endure watching them character assassinate a GOAT like Dock Ock.
And yeah, at first i was assblasted and angry at MS for doing him dirty but then again, they did the same thing to one of their own character, Dr.Strange sooooo....

AFTER that sad moment, it sort of becomes another movie and yeah....heheheh, the day was saved. :D

Like, obviously they were aware how that moment would change things for Tom so they made sure to insert every single gag and joke and banter and shitty ass humour they could think of in the first part of the movie, i shit you not, after EVERY 2 MINUTES there was a comeding moment, f*cking CRAZY.
And trash jokes like making fun of Doc Ock's name, the kinda jokes Marvel Studios has been recycling for God knows how long, like when they make fun of Star Lord in the first GotG movie and how can one forget 2 jokes about Dr.Strange's name in his first outing, with the villain and Infinity War with Peter, but Night Monkey is totally a legit name you guys! :D

I'm not saying it's wrong or that you can't have fun and enjoy these types of movies but i've already heard a couple of BIG STATEMENTS from the general audience and...meh, they are probably lost in the hype, so i get it.

But i really don't understand how one could put a serious face and claim that this movie is better than...say, Iron-Man 1 o Winter Soldier or Infinity War or Spiderman 2 etc...
The script AND the screenplay have GOT TO BE written by some 5 year old.

I at least take comfort in the fact that they didn't butcher the OGs and who am i kidding? They were totally the reason i was sitting there in the first place.

This movie could've been soooo much better, but everything stands on a paper thin concept that tries to juggle things just because it has to.
We could've had so many different types of movies with the EXACT same plot points but only handled differently.

A poor man's Avengers Endgame.

I dunno, maybe i'll find myself saying the same things for The Flash movie as well, but thankfully Dr.Strange in the Multiverse of Madness seems to be built differently and closer to what i'm asking, kinda ironic considering i was hella skeptical before seeing the trailer but then again...it's only fair.

@Doomsday8888 - I couldn't disagree further man. I felt it to be the exact opposite. Even with so many characters and so much happening. The film actually felt like it had a beating heart. Like a true soul. It honestly doesn't get much better for me as a Spidey fan than this.

Also, people always look at the RT score, but the average score has been lowering ever since aaaand it's not like i hate the movie, it just could've been much better but i absolutely don't mind that average RT score.

Only thanks to the second half of the movie tho.

@Doomsday8888 - honestly feel you're being waaaay too hard on this. All for opinions and all, but genuinely cannot fathom how anyone who likes Spidey could walk out of this one hating it as much as you seem to. But thats my problem, opinions can be varied, and I respect yours. I just loved it so much.

@SnideCut
Hey it's fair, glad you loved it.

It's not easy for me to point out what didn't work for me without going in the spoiler territory, plus one should always understand that we all view Spider-man in a certain way, our way and sometimes because of that...stuff doesn't always work buuut even if i wanted to stay as objective as possibile, i could list numerous ways how this whole trilogy was built kinda like the Star Wars sequel trilogy.

Meaning on the spot, it's not well-thought out...like, at all.

Now it DOES get emotional but honest to god, i just can't seem to connect with Spider-Holland.
Everything felt fake and half-assed, even those sad moments.

Ironically enough, i STILL -somehow- feel very optimistic about the next trilogy, cause i truly believe the worst has passed.
Like, i'm willing to cut them some slack, cause like it or not, these Spidey movies happened on the spot and the timing of it all could't be worse, there was ALWAYS, from like DAY ONE, some Avengers shit hijacking Spider-man in one way or another.

Civil War>Homecoming>Infinity War and Peter gets snappend>Endgame and he gets Blipped>Far from Home and now Multiverse shit.

This Spider-man was basically never allowed to work in a manner that like...like i guess how he'll work starting from now.

Saw it yesterday night. My thoughts -

Spider-Man: No Way Home is a special movie.

It’s not everyday that you walk out of a film the way I did yesterday - exhilarated, fully satisfied, sad and just truly happy that I was alive to witness this.

The last time that I felt that way was when walking out of Avengers: Endgame, and it’s not a feeling I take lightly given how rare such feelings are.

I can’t say anything about this film without venturing into some kind of spoiler, and I fully believe this film is best experienced going in completely blind.

The performances are amazing, with Tom Holland giving his best performance as Spider-Man.

Aside from the more fun elements of the character, this story allows him to showcase his more dramatic chops as an actor and he knocks it out of the park. His relationship with MJ, played by Zendaya, is also beautiful to see unfold.

The villains of the piece, as you may have seen in the trailer for the film, are mostly great as well.

With so many characters to juggle, you’d be forgiven for thinking the film would feel overstuffed and convoluted but that’s not the case here.

Willem Dafoe especially is a sight to behold, and feels like such an organic continuation of his character from ‘Spider-Man ( 2002 )’

Anything more I say could serve as a spoiler.

So I’m going to leave you with this - This film is the ultimate Spider-Man movie.

A love letter to Spider-Man fans young and old, it portrays everything that has made Spidey an endearing character for generations.

@SnideCut - @SnideCut - out of all reviews, marketing and whatnot, this might actually convince me the most to watch it. Already saw some of the leaks, and it certainly does look like something special.

This movie is special, for me the best marvel film of all time. 20 years in the making. We are so lucky as fans.

superb movie. in a (usually) very reserved United Kingdom its very unusual for a crowd to cheer and clap during moments a movie.
twice ive ever been in cinema when thats happened. Endgame and now while watching No way home.
took the kids with me (13 yr old boy / 10 yr old girl), the grins and then open mouthed expressions during some "wow" moments i saw on their faces will stay with me a long time.

Jamie Foxx redemption too. he was a stand out in a movie full of huge characters already.

well played marvel, well played.

@DemonTweeks - Nice. I'm plan to take my 12-year-old daughter. Glad Foxx had redemption time. His Electro from ASM 2 was just terrible (not his fault; that was on director Webb).

@DemonTweeks - Exactly the same experience for me.

I always say the clapping & cheering is an American thing & the only two times I've experienced it was at Endgame (Mainly Cap lifting Mjolnir & a few other bits) & then last night at Spider-Man.

At least 4 or 5 moments were clapped & cheered, pretty crazy / surreal considering as you say it's not usually something we do here.

Is Tom Hollands Peter less "Gee-Golly Whiz Willikers in this one?

All I wanna know before I decide to go this weekend or wait for D+ release.

And don't say he's like that in the comics because I don't care.
