SPIDER-MAN Contender Tom Holland Demonstrates His Spidey Skills

Marvel and Sony still haven't settled on their new Spider-Man, but last we heard it was down to either Charlie Rowe (Never let Me Go) or Tom Holland (The Impossible). One thing's for sure, the latter definitely has the right physical attributes for the role anyway! Click to see him in action...

Though they obviously need to be in tip-top shape, actors don't have to be particularly acrobatic to play superheroes... but in the case of Spider-Man, it definitely can't hurt! We still don't know who our new Webhead is going to be but if it is indeed down to the final two, Tom Holland's Instagram videos should give him an edge over Charlie Rowe - with the fans at least. While we await an official announcement, take a look at Holland's impressive skills below.

Directed by Anthony & Joe Russo from a screenplay by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely, Captain America: Civil War picks up where Avengers: Age of Ultron left off, as Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain. Starring Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Paul Bettany, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, Chadwick Boseman, Emily VanCamp, Daniel Brühl, Frank Grillo, William Hurt, and Martin Freeman, Captain America: Civil War is set for release on May 6, 2016.
