In my opinion Spidey's arc in the MCU is pretty wrapped up (except for that FFH stinger), so him no longer in it wouldn't bother me at all

Okay, so I won't keep quiet any more.

Just before Far From Home came out I was going off on one about that Mysterio 616 clip and I realised I was turning into a full-on MCU-hater.
Hopefully none of you remember. but I was essentially spelling out doom for the MCU because of Far From Home.

Well, I was wrong. I saw the movie and OF COURSE Mysterio was lying. Him saying "Earth Dimension 616" was clueing us into the fact that he was lying.

But I noticed how easily I turned on the MCU and I didn't like it. I should've had more faith. They always come through for us in the end.

So I actually vowed to not make any comments on my feelings about the direction that Spidey was headed in the MCU. To not make any comments at all until Spider-man: Far From Home finished it's North American run.

It's actually been quite easy to resist coming onto these message boards, believe it or not. I thought I'd break during SDCC, but nope. Apart from Jane Foster Thor and Blade it was all pretty much exactlny what we all expected it would be.

But the last few days have been the worst.

So, since Spider-man is no longer MCU (at least for the time being) I'm breaking my vow of silence.

The dam is broken.

They've damn-well broken it.

So, here's my take on the cliffhanger ending:
Love JK Simmons back as JJJ. Hate the reveal of the secret identity. Spider-man is not Iron-Man. The only time they did this and meant it in the comics resulted in one of the most hated Spider-man stories of all time.

Here's my take on this whole SPEXIT situation:
Feige's always said they were gonna renegotiate after Far From Home. We've known all along. They don't actually need Spider-man anymore. I'm sure he'd be happy to keep doing them, but he's in demand now and if they want him, they gotta pay.
Sony needs him more than he needs Spider-man. But Sony won't go that extra five percent (from 25%-30%) because they feel pretty overconfident right now due to Spider-verse and Venom.

So here's what will happen: Either Sony moves on without Feige and eventually fvcks up and Disney buys Spider-man or even Sony later on or they take the deal.
Either way, Marvel will have Spider-man back for Secret Wars.

Or third scenario: Sony don't take the deal and actually do well with Spider-man, keeping Tom Holland crossing him over with Venom and Morbius and the Lord and Miller Spider-verse projects and leaves the MCU forever and we just have to consider Pascal, Alonso and Loeb as having power over the three-pronged Expanded Marvel Cinematic Universe (or EMCU).

And while we're at it, here's my list, since we're talking lists:

1. Spider-man: Into the Spider-verse.

2. Spider-man: Homecoming.

3. Spider-man 2.

4. Spider-man.

5. Spider-man 3.

6. The Amazing Spider-man.

7. Spider-man: Far From Home.

8. Venom.

9. The Amazing Spider-man 2.

10. Untitled Spider-man: Far From Home sequel.

...pheeeeww!

Good to get all that off my bosoms.

@MyCoolYoung - I know it's just a meme I found on Reddit. In truth, there are conflicting reports over what the negotiations actually were. So I guess we'll have to wait a long time just for all the true facts to come out and then decide who is at fault.

@Nightwing1015 I actually meant to comment on the meme before posting that gif. It's actually hilaripus. I definitely place blame on both parties but It does seem like rothman had some ulterior motives in his negotiating. I don't think he ever wanted Spider-Man to stay in the MCU.

It kind of feels like they wanted him to be associated with the MCU then go out on his own kind of tricking the general public into believing he's still mcu. I believe Amy's MCU adjacent comment was also meant to associate their other properties with the MCU. I know all of this sounds like a conspiracy theory (who doesn't like a good one) but it really does seem like it to me.
