Anybody see how the actor of Ned lost weight? Some people are saying he will become Hobgoblin, which doesn't make sense, given he is Peter's best friend.

My theory is Peter will go to an alternate reality, where Ned is Hobgoblin.§

Maybe even Flash will be Agent Venom. Who knows.

@DARKSIDEIS -

Yeah, was just about to say. Awesome that he lost it. And so much of it too, lol. They gotta do a time jump now, or maybe that was the plan from the get go.

And they obviously gotta address it at some point during the movie. Kinda hard to ignore.

@DARKSIDEIS - It better not be the flash we saw in the mcu. no way will that guy be agent venom.

@Origame - Sadly, he doesn't have the physical qualities, Flash must have.
I don't care about the race. His Flash just doesn't seem like a fighter / soldier type.

@DARKSIDEIS - Yeah. I really can't see this flash joining the military at all let alone being in the field where his legs can get blown off. And that's kind of an important part of Agent Venom.

"Of course, just like Spidey ignored him in The Amazing Spider-Man, this sequel ended with him shrugging her death on and returning to action with no real consequences for his actions."

TASM 2 has it's flaws but how did Peter just shrug her death? He stopped being Spider-Man for five months and visited her grave repeatedly. We already had her dad's ghost haunting him. Do we want another half hour of the same thing with Gwen?

Yea, I wonder if they will eventually tie up loose threads from the first three F4 movies at some point as well.

The very definition of a slow news day. however

1. Doc Oc is not dead in SM2
2. All the Garfield stuff needs to be wiped from existence
3. The Raimi nod to Dr. Strange was just an easter egg with no substance.

10) Nope. Not a loose plot thread. He dead. They could bring him back and you could argue that was their goal but absolutely nothing in the movies suggested he's alive or even can come back.

9) He quit being Spider-Man for 5 months over this. And only ended up returning when Rhino was rampaging. They definitely showed how her death effected him. Can they show more? Yes, obviously. But there's still no loose plot thread.

8) Again, you can't say they left a loose plot thread by just saying "what happened after this". Any movie universe continues on after a film ends. A movie can't explain every detail, nor should it.

7) You...said it right there. He had the serum injected into him. To go further the serum was made with Richard's DNA to keep it from Norman, who was planning some unethical things. You have it all. What else do you want?

6) An Easter Egg is not a loose plot thread. Heck, you can argue that Dr. Strange is a comic in this reality.

5) Nope. He dead too. And it was even after a redemption arc which according to basic story telling makes him SUPER dead.

4) YES! Finally. This is an unresolved plot thread. And all they managed to say about him is that he could apparently teleport and worked for the Osborne family. Good on you.

3) Ok, him being Mysterio the whole time isn't questioned in the movies. It's a fan theory that has a little extra weight due to the storyboards for Spider-Man 4. For it to be an unresolved plot thread, it should be included somewhere in the plot.

2) You might have had something here if it wasn't cut from the film with no dialogue mentioning this is even a possibility.

1) Good on you ending the list with another actual unresolved plot thread. Sure it's the second one out of 10, but still...

You forgot this one:

They never caught Uncle Ben’s killer from TASM.

Yeah nah, prefer if it the next one will do it's own thing.

Into the Spider-Verse is a great example that it doesn't need to address everything to have a interesting story and characters
