This is a little weird, but try to bear with us.
Recently, a DoorDash driver in Atlanta, Georgia, took to Twitter to mention that he'd dropped some food off for Andrew Garfield (who didn't seem too happy about having to share his ID). Fans of the actor who search for his name came across the Tweet, and Spidey fans have since put 2 + 2 together to make 3. Well, Spider-Man 3!
The actor is rumored to return as Peter Parker in the Marvel Studios threequel, and Atlanta is where the film is being shot. A well-known paparazzo in the city, who frequently takes set photos, has been teasing fans on his socials about seeing a mystery actor working on Spider-Man 3, and he made a point of directing his followers to this Tweet (take that as you will).
This is by no means confirmation, but it is very, very interesting. That driver didn't make a point of trying to grab attention; in fact, later Tweets have revealed that he didn't even know the actor is rumored to be in this film!
It's doubtful he's faking this story, and a good indication Garfield is indeed returning as Spider-Man. We can only hope official confirmation is coming, but for now, weigh in with your takes in the comments.
