THE SUICIDE SQUAD Adds GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 Actor Steve Agee As The Voice Of King Shark
It sounds like James Gunn may have found his King Shark in an old friend as it's being reported that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and New Girl actor Steve Agee has joined the cast of The Suicide Squad!
Deadline is reporting that comedian Steve Agee has joined the cast of Warner Bros.' upcoming DC Films sequel The Suicide Squad as the voice of King Shark. No word yet on who will portray the villain physically or if he'll be a completely CGI creation.
The move will reunite the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and New Girl actor with his former Guardians director James Gunn, who has been enlisted to write and direct the sequel/soft reboot.
Agee joins a star cast that will feature Idris Elba (TBD), Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Viola Davis (Amanda Waller), Jai Courtney (Captain Boomerang), Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flagg), David Dastmalchian (Polka-Dot Man), Daniela Melchior (Ratcatcher), Storm Reid (TBD) and Flula Borg (TBD).
Also, according to the report, the first table read is expected to take place on September 11th with principal photography expected to officially commence on September 23 of this calendar year.
The Suicide Squad is currently slated to hit theaters on August 6, 2021.
