Another upcoming calendar has leaked online, this time for The Suicide Squad. As well as featuring some new promo shots of Task Force X (unsurprisingly, the focus is primarily put on Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn), the movie's three lead human villains are also spotlighted.

They are: Peter Capaldi's Thinker, Joaquín Cosío as Mateo Suárez, the Major General of Corto Maltese, and Juan Diego Botto as Silvio Luna, the dictator of Corto Maltese.

In another shot, Amanda Waller is hovering over the team, but you don't need us to tell you she's a villain! There's understandably no sign of Starro, but that's a character Warner Bros. seems to be going to great lengths to keep under wraps beyond the odd glimpse here and there.

"Welcome to hell — a.k.a. Belle Reve, the prison with the highest mortality rate in the US of A," reads the synopsis. "Where the worst Super-Villains are kept and where they will do anything to get out—even join the super-secret, super-shady Task Force X. Today’s do-or-die assignment? Assemble a collection of cons, including Bloodsport, Peacemaker, Captain Boomerang, Ratcatcher 2, Savant, King Shark, Blackguard, Javelin and everyone’s favorite psycho, Harley Quinn. Then arm them heavily and drop them (literally) on the remote, enemy-infused island of Corto Maltese."

"Trekking through a jungle teeming with militant adversaries and guerrilla forces at every turn, the Squad is on a search-and- destroy mission with only Colonel Rick Flag on the ground to make them behave...and Amanda Waller’s government techies in their ears, tracking their every movement. And as always, one wrong move and they’re dead (whether at the hands of their opponents, a teammate, or Waller herself). If anyone’s laying down bets, the smart money is against them—all of them."

The Suicide Squad will be released in theaters and on HBO Max on August 6th, 2021.

From a production stand point it already looks 10 times better than the first. Im sure it will also be a better movie than the first

6/13 photos of a calendar dedicated to Harley Quinn is a bit excessive in a team movie. Like, I know all characters are expendable but how are you meant to care about them if it’s just one character being focused on?

@MikeyL - 13 months on the calendar is a bit excessive too

Yes, they're keeping starro so well hidden, what with ONLY showing him in a giant explosive action sequence at the end of the trailer, where the camera specifically highlights him from multiple angles.

Shame, that with all of the interesting characters in this film, the calendar is primarily Harley. I have never been interested in her character because she like the Joker. She's just a semi-entertaining nut-back to me.

I thought she really stood out in "Suicide Squad" because, compared to most of the other characters, she was one of the most interesting. And because she was one of the two major stars in the film, the writer(s) wrote most of the other characters as "less" interesting (Hollywood has been doing this for a looooooooooooooooooong time), so she would stand out more.

I am more interested in the rest of the characters.
