SUPERGIRL Gets Series Commitment At CBS; Logline Hints At A Role For SUPERMAN

DC Comics are bringing another series to yet another network as it has been revealed today that Supergirl (that IS the title) will come to CBS with a full series order! However, far more intriguing is the logline which seemingly hints that Superman will play some sort of role. Read on for details!

Supergirl has finally found a home as the latest TV show from DC Comics, and it's been given a series commitment at CBS, the network behind the likes of Elementary, The Big Bang Theory and Under the Dome. The hour-long drama will focus on Kara Zor-El following her escape from planet Krypton amid its destruction. The official logline for the drama adds that she has been "hiding the powers she shares with her famous cousin" (that's Superman obviously) and that now at the age of 24, "she decides to embrace her superhuman abilities and be the hero she was always meant to be." The pilot was penned by Ali Alder (No Ordinary Family) and Greg Berlanti (Arrow), and they will both executive produce alongside Sarah Schechter and Warner Bros. TV. TV Line meanwhile confirm that it will indeed be named Supergirl. What kind of role do you think Superman will play?
