First Look at Ayelet Zurer the Mother of Superman on the Man of Steel Set

Ayelet arrives on the Vancouver set of Zack Snyder's new Superman movie. The Israeli actress is replacing Julia Ormand as Lara, Superman's biological mom.

Too bad the pictures aren't of her in costume, but it's nice to see her on set. Ayelet is best known to moviegoers as the CERN scientist in Tom Hank's Angels & Demons or Eric Bana's wife in Steven Spielberg's Munich. If her character Lara is anything like what Mark Waid portrayed the character as in "Superman: Birthright" comic, than she'll be very intellectual and help with the construction of Kal-El's spacecraft.

Man Of Steel, starring Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Michael Shannon, Antje Traue, Julia Ormond, Russell Crowe, Laurence Fishburne with Christopher Meloni and Harry Lennix, the reboot is slated for theaters June 14th, 2013!
