Barry needs to start getting creative just try shit. It seems like he needs someone to show him how to do something and then that's all he can do, like the speed punch or throwing lightning. They need to ramp him up quick and stop making all of his main nemesis' faster than him.

@KindredMac - that's the issue with ALL comic book characters. You can't make the OP so you have to find a way for them to lose sometimes.

@KindredMac - Well in the comics his mentor was Jay Garrick (for Barry) and then Max Mercury (for Wally). They've already screwed up the Jay Garrick angle so who knows?

The thing I don't like is they act like he can't think on his feet. Like he always needs someone to tell him how to solve a situation. I thought Barry was supposed to be pretty damn smart too. Also seems like he is never ready for anything. Like Zoom punching him in the face the first time they met last episode... Did he think it was going to be a talk it out kind of thing? Zoom punched Barry and Barry didn't move till he got punched, like he didn't anticipate anything. I think the writers need to make Barry a little more self conscious and seem like he's learning this hero thing and doesn't always need the Flash crew. That way when he does need them it seems like the stakes are higher and the task at hand feels more difficult.

@BlackStar25 - yeah but if he needs the team all the time it just becomes kind of redundant. He should be able to fight a villain and problem solve on the go, that way when he meats a strong meta he can't defeat on his own the team having to help makes it feel more like a challenging villain.
I'd rather keep Flash a smart capable super hero. Don't want team Flash to feel like team Arrow.
Just a preference for me.

@Luminus @arrownoir does have a point. Arrow has become so much about Team Arrow they should change the name to Team Arrow. He lost to Malcolm Merlin and was drugged by every vertigo dealer since season 1, there were a fair amount of normal dudes Arrow had problems with since season 1. I really don't care about that show, I just don't want Barry relying on team Flash all of the time.

@arrownoir
Malcolm Merlin is a League of Assassins member. He is in NO WAY a "regular dude." And anyone can be drugged. How many times has Batman been drugged, again? I will agree that the show has become too much about Team Arrow, instead of just Green Arrow.

I figured out who Zoom is, at least a lowered powered version. It was so obvious I kick myself:

I feel like they are using the car accident story line with Wally from the comics but with a new twist for the show. In the comics, didnt Barry go into the future (like 5 years of something) and see that Wally dies in a car crash. I feel like they are doing something similar for the show, but instead of Wally, it is Iris who gets fatally injured from glass/shrapnel from the crash (i think that is what we see in the preview). Although, I guess from last season we know that Iris is alive in the future and is Barry's wife (since she wrote that newspaper article in 2025?). Eh, what do I know. But I feel like they are going to use some twist of the Wally West car accident from the comics.
