Sounds pretty refreshing. Lowered stakes and good comedy could work

Sounds like a good approach for the first movie, I dig it!

I think we've already learned our lesson about trusting anonymous Reddit posts this week.

I'm not a fan of the rouges being the big bads for movie one. Start with 1 villian and focus on making us love this version of Barry Allen Flash.

Good luck

"A Comedic Approach With A Simple Story"

Well, [frick].

@DavidGray - Sounds good to me.
A character’s first solo film shouldnt be overly convoluted, and The Flash is DC’s most comedic A-lister.

If I heard Matt Reeve’s Batman would have a comedic approach though, then I would be pissed.

(Not that that will happen, Matt Reeves is godly at taking silly concepts and turning them into cinematic, dark, serious masterpieces)

@DavidGray - considering this is The Flash, regardless of incarnation or what people gotta say about it, that sounds pitch perfect

@ELAYEM @Mattygrand - I hear you guys, but in my view, you can have a funny lead (as Flash should be somewhat) and not have the movie to be comedic. I like stakes, I like gravitas.

I know this is just a matter of taste, and I'm just expressing mine.

I hope this turns out to be good but sorry, I just don't buy Ezra as the Flash after seeing Justice League. Even Gustin is a better Flash - and he's a low budget TV version.

I fancasted Tatum as cold along time ago, if hateful 8 is any thing to go by he should do fine in the role. I would rather see him as cold then gambit.

Since they're going for comedy hopefully, they handle it better than JL. I didn't laugh at any of his jokes in JL, and he was [frick]ing annoying overall.

Although I did recently watch Game Night, and that movie was funny, so I trust in the directors.

@Toecutter - yeah, he was terrible in justice league. Very unfunny.

What was hard to follow about Snyder's films?

That's...not a bad plan. Only thing that worries me is multiple villains but let's see how it goes.

Simple story is good.

Flashpoint was NEVER a good idea for an introductory film. Flashpoint involves resetting the timeline which would affect not just the Flash but also other Justice League movies. And at such a primitive stage in the DCEU (and so much being in the air), it would tamper with everything on a wider scale.

Seems like the DCEU is still figuring stuff out.
