Production on Thor: Love and Thunder is still taking place in Australia, and after Russell Crowe's involvement with the film was confirmed when he was spotted at a rugby match with the cast, there's now heaps of speculation that Sacha Baron Cohen might be making a cameo appearance of some sort.
The Borat star was spotted dining with director Taika Waititi and stars Christian Bale and Russell Crowe at a restaurant alongside his wife, Wedding Crashers actress Isla Fisher.
Rita Ora was also there, though there have been rumors on gossip sites for a while now that she's actually dating Waititi (she's currently in Australia shooting the country's version of The Voice). It would make sense for Cohen to cameo as one of the Gods that Gorr the God Butcher massacres, and he'd be a good fit for Shadrak the God of Bombs from Jason Aaron's Thor run.
Talking recently on Australia's Weekend Today, Waititi shared an update on Thor: Love and Thunder. "We've got four weeks left, I can see light at the end of the tunnel," the filmmaker said. "It might be the best Marvel film ever."
Whether Cohen actually appears in the film remains to be seen, but we'd love for it to happen.
