She can do it. As long as Taika addresses it with maturity, of course.

It'd be a shame to lose that emotionally compelling aspect of her story in the comics. It's an interesting arc and I think would really put Waititi's skills to the test in working with some more somber or dramatic material and not lean too heavy on the humor instead. I actually thought Ragnarok had a much better balance with that than people give it credit for but I can understand some of the criticism. I'd love to see some heavy and epic themes explored in this one.

They kind of HAVE TO do it. It’s the definitive storyline for Jane. Hope we see it.

It may not have been the central focus, but it hasn't not been done before.

"It’s just very rare that these kinds of big entertainment films look at more serious, real-life issues,"

Whether you believe that statement or not, that is exactly why they SHOULD do that story.

As someone who has an Aunt that overcame breast cancer, I think this would be a beautiful story to see on the big screen. I hope it happens.

Is this considered back handed compliments? I wouldn't be surprised if Portman stopped watching these movies before phase 2 ended. I think these movies have dealt with some serious stuff

Idk Taika didnt really put effort into the weight of Thor losing his father and all of Asgard so.....not sure about it.

Interested to see who the villains will be in this, hopefully we'll see the cinematic debut of the Wrecking Crew.

@soberchimera - I would love to see them. Maybe as opening/first act villains.

That would be sort of interesting especially after half the world disappears and it can be reversed, yet who can fight cancer?
