I bet you thought that was blood on Rick's face in the teaser image, right? Nope, it's cake as you can see on one of three bizarre new Entertainment Weekly covers celebrating the show's upcoming season eight premiere/100th episode. Also below is a tense new promo which sets the stage for the "All Out War" which is about to take place between Negan's Saviors and the communities led by Rick Grimes.

"I think that last season was very painful for everybody," Andrew Lincoln says, promising a back to basics approach for the show when it returns. "And now you get a certain sense of a reclaiming of the old show and the swagger." Melissa McBride concurs, adding: "This is like back in the old days. This is what I was yearning for last year." It's also something fans want after all that doom and gloom!

Are you guys looking forward to the return of The Walking Dead? What do you hope to see from the series moving forward? As always, be sure to let us know your thoughts in the comments section.
