Deadly Class is one of the finest comics being made by Image. Set in the 80s, it's about a poor, teenage outcast named Marcus who gets enrolled in a school that teaches kids to become fearsome assassins. Think of it as Mark Millar's 'Wanted' meets 'Nikita.' It is a fun and intense comic and it feels good to see capable filmmakers like the Russos bring it to the small screen.

Following last week's reveal of the cast list, the Russos have taken to Instagram to show us the actors in costume. The cast will include: Benjamin Wadsworth, Maria Gabriella de Faria, Benedict Wong, Lana Condor, Liam James, Michel Duval and Luke Tennie.

@thomashilfiger - There are limits to what they can do with an adaptation. And this is just showing the kids now because they are the focus.

@Origame - As much as I love that Lana Condor is a woman of color, it still sucks that there are 07 kids (the main kids, I suppose? I don't know anything about the comic) and only 1 of them is a woman. Like, seriously, I expected more. It's 2017 already, jeez. I am barely okay with it in Justice League and much less with a new production.

read this series since day 1. Russo is directing, more importantly Remender is writing the script. Cast looks good and Scy-Fy has gotten more adult orientated. If anybody is familiar with the drug use on the show, The Magicians can be a comparable as to what the network will allow. Love the comic, love whose helming, love the cast, love that the actual comic writer is writing the pilot. Now let's see what's going on with Saya's hair. :-p

I [frick]ing LOVE this series. The Magicians has really pushed the envelope as far as quality and raciness on Syfy. With Russos and Remender attached - I'm PUMPED. Willie, Marcus, and Saya look like they jumped right off the page. Go pick up the trades NOW if you haven't read.

Where are Maria and Petra? Can't wait to see who they grab for Shabnam!
