ARROW: Heroes Fall & Legends Rise In The Action-Packed Official "Sacrifice" Extended Trailer

The CW has released the official "Sacrifice" extended trailer for the eighth and final season of Arrow, offering a first look at what danger awaits Oliver Queen in his final run as the Emerald Archer.

Arrow returns for its eighth and final season on October 15, and to get fans even more amped for Oliver Queen's (Stephen Amell) swan song, The CW has debuted a new "Sacrifice" extended trailer for the final run of ten episodes.

The trailer strikes a somber tone, as Oliver seemingly resigns himself to the likelihood that he won't be making it out of this final adventure alive. Plus, we also get a little "Crisis" mention, and a glimpse of a few familiar faces.

In addition to the core present-day team of the Green Arrow, Spartan (David Ramsey), Wild Dog (Rick Gonzalez), Black Canary (Juliana Harkavy) and Black Canary E-2 (Katie Cassidy Rodgers), the upcoming season will also consist of a wide range of returning characters, including Thea Queen (Willa Holland), Tommy Merlyn (Colin Donnell), Adrian Chase (Josh Segarra), Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman), Moira Queen (Susanna Thompson), The Monitor (LaMonica Garrett), Tatsu Yamashiro (Rila Fukushima) and Yao Fei Gulong (Byron Mann).

After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the North China Sea. He returned home to Star City, bent on righting the wrongs done by his family and fighting injustice. As the Green Arrow, he protects his city with the help of former soldier John Diggle, computer-science expert Felicity Smoak, former protégé Roy Harper, brilliant inventor Curtis Holt, street-savvy Rene Ramirez and meta-human Dinah Drake. Oliver will find himself vulnerable in a way unlike ever before when a mysterious new enemy begins to unravel his work as Green Arrow, forcing him to redeem his name or risk losing everything.

I like that the trailer keeps the story mysterious, but plenty to keep us guessing, Katana, Talia, Thea, should be great

Good trailer that didn't reveal anything about the plot nor what exactly is his mission that the Monitor asked him to do.

That woman really seemed to be Talia.

It's also nice to see Thea back.

Guessing the Ninth Circle is sticking around and they are doing a version of the arc where he teamed up with a different justice league member each issue while taking them down

Breaking down this trailer, lots to see!!

- Is 0:32 when Malcolm in Season 1 killed all those scientists working on his earthquake device?
- 0:39, when Malcolm tied Oliver up in season 1?
- 0:46, Oliver fighting Adrian Chase in season 5?
- 0:56, Oliver fighting Malcolm in season 1 finale? Looks like the Dark Archer suit.
- 1:00, Oliver fighting soldiers in China from Season 4 flashbacks? Diggle also is in China it seems at another point in the trailer.
- 1:03, Dark Archer fight from Season 1 finale

Some other stuff I missed. Seems Oliver and Talia go to find Thea and the location of the other Lazarus Pits, I think...
