ARROW's Colton Haynes Getting A Costume Soon?

ARROW's Colton Haynes Getting A Costume Soon?

That's the news in the latest scoop from E! Online who says that Colton's Roy Harper may be closer to joining Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) and Diggle (David Ramsey) in the Arrow cave than viewers think.

If you've been keeping up with the second season of Arrow (of course you have, it's awesome!) you know that a fledgling partnership between Harper (Haynes) and The Arrow (Stephen Amell) has already been formed. But according to E! Online, Roy Harper is very close to not only discovering Arrow's true identity but suiting up and fighting alongside the vigilante as well. Haynes himself told E!, "[Roy's] getting really busy still trying to find Arrow, but at the same time, he is slowly starting to find out who the Arrow is and that it could possibly be Oliver." The entertainment tv network adds, "…combine that tease with Haynes' super-secret fitting coming up and it seems like Team Arrow may have another full-fledged member on its hands soon." But which look will the Arrow showrunners use as inspiration for Haynes' costume? Around since 1941, Green Arrow's sidekick "Speedy" has undergone numerous costume changes in those 70+ years. That's no surprise as the character is a pastiche of Batman sidekick Robin. And just as the first Boy Wonder grew up and changed his name to Nightwing, so to did Speedy transform into Arsenal. Will Haynes' costume take inspiration from his Speedy garments, Arsenal reinvention, or other iterations from down years past?

"After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the Pacific. When he returns home to Starling City, his devoted mother Moira, much-beloved sister Thea, and best friend Tommy welcome him home, but they sense Oliver has been changed by his ordeal on the island. While Oliver hides the truth about the man he’s become, he desperately wants to make amends for the actions he took as the boy he was. Most particularly, he seeks reconciliation with his former girlfriend, Laurel Lance. As Oliver reconnects with those closest to him, he secretly creates the persona of Arrow – a vigilante – to right the wrongs of his family, fight the ills of society, and restore Starling City to its former glory. By day, Oliver plays the role of a wealthy, carefree and careless philanderer he used to be – flanked by his devoted chauffeur/bodyguard, John Diggle – while carefully concealing the secret identity he turns to under cover of darkness. However, Laurel’s father, Detective Quentin Lance, is determined to arrest the vigilante operating in his city. Meanwhile, Oliver’s own mother, Moira, knows much more about the deadly shipwreck than she has let on – and is more ruthless than he could ever imagine."
