Ruby Rose's Batwoman has found her nemesis in the form of Rachel Skarsten.

According to Deadline, the Reign actress will play the show's principal antagonist, Alice, who is described as "the leader of her Lewis Carroll–inspired Wonderland Gang. Swinging unpredictably between maniacal and charming, Alice has made it her mission to undermine Gotham’s sense of security."

In the comics, Alice is actually Kate Kane's twin sister Elizabeth, but there's no indication here that the small-screen take on the character will follow suit.

Skarsten is no stranger to DC TV, having appeared as Black Canary in the short-lived Birds of Prey series back in 2002. She's also recurred on Season 2 of Bravo’s Imposters and was a series regular on Syfy’s Lost Girl.

We recently found out that Meagan Tandy (Teen Wolf), Camrus Johnson (Luke Cage) and Nicole Kang (You) had also joined the cast as Sophie Moore, Luke Fox and Mary Hamilton, respectively.

David Nutter will direct the Batwoman pilot, which was written by by Caroline Dries. No premiere date has been announced yet.
