A photo taken on the Vancouver set of Batwoman confirms that the Batmobile is finally coming to The CWVerse, and it looks like Javicia Leslie's Scarlet Knight will have a badass ride in Gotham City...

Batwoman season two is now shooting ahead of its planned return to The CW next January, and following rumblings that the Batmobile would be included when the series returns, we have a first look at the iconic vehicle!

Unfortunately, it does appear as if some expense has been spared because it's basically just a regular car with a few extra bells and whistles. There's nothing overly special about it, and it's surprising that the team working on Batwoman hasn't made a little more effort to make a vehicle more in line with the comics.

It could just be a prototype, though, and there's nothing to say it won't look better in action (and have some badass weaponry Gotham City's new protector can take full advantage of).

Very few details have been revealed about what's to come in season two of Batwoman, and it will probably be a while before The CW shares anything official, especially if there's a risk that shooting will be halted by COVID-19 again. There's certainly a lot of intrigue surrounding season two, and it's going to be interesting to see how fans respond to an original creation replacing Kate Kane.

Check out this sneak peek at Batwoman's Batmobile below:

''it's surprising the team working on Batwoman hasn't made a little more effort to make a vehicle more in line with the comics''

That make a completely new character the lead, and you worry about a car not being comic book accurate? And as far as we know, she doesn't have access to Bruce Wayne's resources either.

@bkmeijer - Why couldn't the Batmobile, have just been left in the Batcave, with everything else? Or did Bruce take that with him, before he went missing...along with Alfred...and now Kate. This Batwoman show, has kind of become a parody.

@99OPTIMISTPRIME - I don't believe the Batmobile was in S1, so maybe Bruce left in it with Alfred in the passenger's seat.

And it does feel far removed from the source material, which could've been less if they used Betty Kane instead of a new character.

As long as its HER Batmobile she's riding around in and not a reconstituted Batmobile from Batman, I can dig it.

Still, I want to see him in action as the real Bruce/Batman real soon.

Especially since Superman's getting his CW spot in the Arrowverse.

@TheLight - I wonder if it'll be established that Superman has history with this Bruce? Kara said a couple times they were friends on her Earth and clearly this Batman was around for awhile.

@OmegaBlack13 - Hopefully they might address that in the Superman/Batwoman? teamup they had planned. But then that opens up a new can of worms.

My Altima?
inkniron
inkniron - 10/18/2020, 8:32 AM
@TheWalkingCuban - Nah, it's definitely a Mustang with a cheap, ill fitting body kit and a mid 90's Camaro nose that doesn't even match the side skirts. That awful spoiler might belong to an Altima, but I think it's a cheap 300z's.

@inkniron - Not sure what you guys are talking about or if you’re being sarcastic but it’s clearly a Corvette. Upon which other Batmobilea have been based, that’s not to say it’s not underwhelming

The budget and ambition for THIS show?

We're lucky it's not the "Bat-Skateboard".

I guess Bruce took the later model with him when he left Gotham so he doesn't have to be on this show.

So just a regular car with a Batman sticker on it that you'd see on the highway or at a parking lot.

I kinda don't understand why they don't just use the Burtonmobile. It's the best batmoibile ever and they've literally got it sitting right there on the show, not using it!

Spock0Clock
Spock0Clock - 10/18/2020, 1:53 PM
I like it.

I kind of like all the Batmobiles, except the super-neon weird HR Giger ones from Schumacher's movies.
Spock0Clock
Spock0Clock - 10/18/2020, 1:56 PM
Actually, I just said Giger because that's what the organic curved black exposed rib aesthetic reminded me of, but apparently (Googling it now) Giger actually was asked to make some design suggestions, and his ideas were... well, much more out there.

I mean... I hate it as a Batmobile. Utterly loathe it, even. But it's... it's a hell of a thing, isn't it?

Looks a bit like an Aston Martin. I wonder if they used one as the base for it?

To everyone saying it looks cheap and "just like a normal car", just remember, TV shows don't have the budgets of blockbuster movies. They have to make do with what they have. I think it looks fine for what it is.

@bcom - Corvette, C7 I think.
