5. The Batman Will Continue Shooting Despite COVID-19

Yesterday, it was confirmed that England is going to head into a four-week lockdown starting on Thursday. Where does that leave productions which are currently shooting in the country?

According to Variety, despite these latest restrictions being put in place, movies like The Batman will be able to continue filming over the coming weeks. That's good news for the DC Comics adaptation, especially as it's already been hit by a series of significant delays thanks to the pandemic.

As it stands, The Batman has already slipped from next summer until March 4th, 2022.

4. Anne Hathaway Offers Zoë Kravitz Some Catwoman Advice

Cat

The Witches star Anne Hathaway played Selina Kyle/Catwoman in 2012's The Dark Knight Rises, and a decade later, it will be Zoe Kravitz who brings the character to life on screen in The Batman.

In an interview with Collider, Hathaway referred to those set photos of the actress on the set of the movie and said "she doesn't need my advice." She later elaborated on that, stating: "If I had any advice it would be literally don’t listen to anybody because I think the only way to play that role is to give your version of it. All of us had different directors and all of our interpretations were specific to the films that they were in."

"[All] the Jokers were specific to each director they have, and so I don’t think you can get too bogged down with the comparison. And especially when you’re not the one doing it because your job is to give yours. And I’m so excited to see what she does with it. I thought she was a perfect choice."

It's a valid observation, and the hope is that we'll get an official look at Catwoman very soon.

3. The Suicide Squad Cameo

As you can see above, The Suicide Squad star James Gunn has confirmed that John Ostrander, the creator of the 1980s iteration of Task Force X, will appear in his upcoming movie.

He's set to play Dr. Fitzgibbon, the head physician of Belle Reve, a member of A.R.G.U.S., and an aide to Amanda Waller. He is responsible for the well-being of the members of Task Force X, treating them if they're wounded, and letting Waller know if they're ready for missions.

An image of the character can be seen in the latest edition of Empire Magazine.

2. Ray Fisher Dresses As Cyborg For Halloween

Ray Fisher made headlines last week with some shocking new claims about Justice League reshoots director Joss Whedon. He was enjoying the Halloween festivities yesterday, though, sharing a cool photo of his Halloween costume. Who did he dress up as? DC Comics hero Cyborg, of course!

The actor was joined by his young nephew who had donned a Bumblebee costume. That led to the Justice League/Transformers crossover we never knew we needed.

1. Javicia Leslie Strikes A Pose As Batwoman

The CW recently shared a first official look at Javicia Leslie suited up as The CWVerse's Batwoman, and the response from fans has been overwhelmingly positive. While the idea to introduce a newly created character - Ryan Wilder - as the Caped Crusader has received a mixed response, the actress is clearly passionate about the role and looks even better suited up that Ruby Rose!

Now, she's shared a fun video from the set of the show as she strikes some cool poses in her Batwoman costume. With a premiere date set for next January, we could get some official footage soon.

Are you excited to see this version of the Scarlet Knight in action?

OT: The guy that did the Ray Fisher interview for Forbes is now listed as a former contributor.

He was either dropped or was fired maybe because Forbes thought he didn't handle Fisher's accusations well or was impartial (because he's apparently a Snyder fanboy). The racist accusation from Ray Fisher was also removed from the article after Whedon's rep responded.

Meant to say he was either dropped or walked away.

@Kumkani - Very interesting. I imagine Forbes has been threatened with legal action due to some of the accusations Ray Fisher made (particularly about Joss Whedon changing that actor's skin tone when it was second-hand information). This guy clearly didn't run it by his editors or fact check before posting!
