New BLACK LIGHTNING Character Posters Take Us Up Close And Personal With The Show's Amazing Cast

The CW has released a very cool batch of character posters for Black Lightning putting the spotlight on each of the show's main characters and the titular hero himself. Hit the jump to check them out!

Black Lightning has been a critical and commercial hit for The CW and while some fans are frustrated that the show currently stands apart from the Arrowverse, the door is no doubt going to be opened for a crossover somewhere down the line. In the meantime, we're getting to know the characters who live in Jefferson Pierce's world and the network has now released some awesome new character portraits.

Here, we get a look at characters like Tobias and Lady Eve, not to mention one of the best shots of the titular hero yet (don't get too used to that suit, though, as it's reportedly going to change soon).

No idea why they don't want this connected to the Arrowverse. These crossovers have been epic. Would have been great to see Black Lightning join them.

@VicSage - Well it might be connect it, and if it isnt they will eventually connect it, they said that for at least the first year they want the show to stand on its own

Can't wait to see Jill Scott in this. I haven't watched the second episode yet but I quite liked the pilot. Don't really like suit, even though I'm glad they didn't shy away from it

Nice pics specially to see Tobis, Gambi and Henderson get their own.

It's also nice that Netflix is actually uploading episodes.

The door for crossovers is currently ajar but yes in the meanwhile it will stand alone so that the world, stories and characters develop. Unless it goes to just become a "Lightningverse" as Salim Akil teased.

Can't wait for tonight's episode.
