GOTHAM: Cameron Monaghan Teases A Jokery Transformation For Jerome In A New Photo
Jerome is cackling his way back to Gotham, and actor Cameron Monaghan has taken to Twitter to tease a much more definitive transformation for his unhinged villain when the show returns in the new year...
While Jerome's return to Gotham has been teased heavily, we still don't have an exact indication of when the character will pop back up in season 3 of Fox's Batman prequel series. However, that uncertainty hasn't stopped actor Cameron Monaghan from teasing a Joker-like transformation for his character with a mysterious and unsettling new photo.
The actor posted the pic to Twitter - deleting it a few hours later - showing Jerome in a purple vest, bow tie and a sinister grin, along with lighting that gives him the appearance of having pale white skin and red lips. There's still no direct confirmation that Jerome is destined to be the Joker, but this photo serves as ever-increasing proof that the show is headed in that direction.
Jerome hasn't been seen since the character was murdered by Theo Galavan in season 2, though Monaghan's performance earned a lot of praise, so a return seemed likely despite the deadly circumstances. Are you excited to see Jerome back on Gotham? Let us know in the comments!
