GOTHAM: Shane West Makes His Debut As Bane In New Photos From Season 5, Episode 5: "Pena Dura"

Well, he's not quite Bane just yet, but FOX has released twelve new photos from the January 31st episode of Gotham, which will introduce Shane West as Eduardo Dorrance, a.k.a. the future Bane!

Eduardo Dorrance, a.k.a. the future Bane (Shane West) is expected to have a big role to play as Gotham reaches its conclusion and it looks like he'll finally be making his debut in the January 31st episode, which will see him lead a military task force to save the city, albeit with ulterior motives.

Meanwhile, the Riddler (Cory Michael Smith) seeks out the Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor), which results in an encounter with Hugo Strange (BD Wong) while Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) continues his efforts to help the spiralling Selina Kyle (Camren Bicondova).

A MILITARY TASK FORCE ARRIVES IN GOTHAM CITY ON AN ALL-NEW "GOTHAM" THURSDAY, JANUARY 31, ON FOX

Shane West Guest-Stars and BD Wong ("Hugo Strange") Returns

A military task force, led by Eduardo Dorrance (guest star Shane West) is called in to provide relief to Gotham. Meanwhile, Nygma looks for answers from Penguin, who leads him back to Hugo Strange (guest star BD Wong). Then, Bruce is concerned about Selina's recent behavior in the all-new "Pena Dura" episode of GOTHAM airing Thursday, Jan. 31 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

GOTHAM is an origin story of the great DC Comics Super-Villains and vigilantes, revealing an entirely new chapter that has never been told. From executive producer and writer Bruno Heller and executive producers Danny Cannon and John Stephens, GOTHAM follows the rise of Det. James Gordon (Ben McKenzie) through a dangerously corrupt city teetering between good and evil, and chronicles the birth of one of the most popular super heroes of our time. Beginning in Winter 2019, GOTHAM will air its fifth and final season, wrapping up this beloved series in a farewell event that will focus on Bruce Wayne’s (David Mazouz) transformation into the caped crusader.

Hopefully the rest of the episodes are as strong as the first of this season, because the last two episodes were a bit of a step down from the season premiere.

Love the show but in retrospect, they could have handled Bruce and Selina better. They were never really together so it isn't as impactful that Selina is turning into more of a villain.
