That was the worst goodbye speech I have ever read lol.

Not afraid to drop the c-word in his leaving speech.

Love it.

@marvel72 - I didn't know he was from the England until he said the c-word. That's when it clicked. Because Americans rarely, if ever say the c-word lol.

@marvel72

C-Word?

You mean Foo-Foo?
SimplyAz
SimplyAz - 4/17/2021, 8:46 AM
@KWilly -

The C-word always seems more offensive to Americans, which is fine as that's how language works.
But in England I've mainly seen it or used it myself towards other guys.

Other Person, " What's he like?"

SimplyAz, "He's a C@#£"

Or

Random person swearing

SimplyAz, " Stop acting like a C*£#"

Always had Purcell down as an Aussie but didn't know he had English and Irish roots

It's definitely an evocative word....!!!

@KWilly - I'm from the UK. When I started Uni a girl from the south made a casual comment and called me a "[foo foo]" about something or other. She was only joking but it stayed with me. I later found out she had a thing for me but I pretty much blanked her every single time we met because of that one thing.

marvel72 - 4/17/2021, 10:04 AM
@KWilly - Yeah it can be used as a term of endearment like saying someone like say a comedian is a funny c*nt or aggressively as you c*nt.

marvel72 - 4/17/2021, 10:04 AM
@regularmovieguy - Of course.

@SimplyAz - It's funny, I drop c*nt on occasion, but most fellow Americans around me look SO uncomfortable.

There was this one time I was around some English friends and their family, and I said Fanny, which typically means "Butt" in America, but all of them looked at me like a lunatic, which is when I learned it refers to different anatomy in the UK lol

@MrMediocre -

Lol. I can imagine, especially if you were talking about your own fanny, as a guy. It alway threw me in movies when they called a Bum Bag a Fanny Pack.

For anyone else reading,
"Fanny" would mean female genitalia, in the same juvenile way that, "Willy" would mean male genitalia.

@KWilly - He’s Australian actually. He was born in the UK but moved to Australia when he was 2.

@SimplyAz - in Australia swearing is used like punctuation. [frick] and [foo foo] are used flat out in all different kinds of contexts.

To mates: “Hey [foo foo]s, what’s going on?” Or “What are you [foo foo]s up to?”
If someone teases you: “Ah, get [frick]ed, you [foo foo]”
Describing someone you like: “Yeah, he’s a good [foo foo]”
Describing someone you hate “He’s an utter [foo foo]” or “He’s/she’s a [foo foo] of a thing”
Someone being a wanker: “Mate, don’t be a [foo foo]”
A shit situation: “[foo foo]!!!”

As you can see, it’s a brilliantly versatile word.

[foo foo]s 😊

Lol, that's awesome dude. Love how its a term of endearment but can also be used as an invitation to fight.
Would love to visit Australia one day

@SimplyAz - Mate, once this [foo foo] of a pandemic is over, you should. Generally speaking we’re a good bunch of [foo foo]s. You should come and have a beer, ya [foo foo]. 😬

In the meantime, here’s some tourist info for you:

Tbh this show hasn't improved by the time.

My favorite season is probably S3 and also S2, then it went to the more parodic style, which I don't like (Doom Patrol is 1000x funnier and weirder).

The only team members I care about are John and Nate, and it is sad that we don't see them suit up anymore.

All Purcell was doing was Blade 3, Prison Break, Legends, and Prison Break Redux.

Good luck to him, though. It's hard out there.

Probably from being basically pushed to the background most of ... well, the series. Sucks, really liked him, and Rory never failed to entertain.
