After breaking Chloe's (Lauren German) heart and getting a beatdown from Lucifer (Tom Ellis), Cain (Tom Welling) finally accepted his fate and admitted his guilt, which shockingly resulted in him finally losing his mark. Now, while we don't know what'll happen next, based on the new synopsis, it sounds like he may be having second thoughts about dying, which is sure to draw the ire of his currently volatile partner-in-crime, Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt).

Meanwhile, with Chloe reeling, Lucifer will do his best to keep her distracted with their latest case, but that may be easier said than done with Cain committed to winning her back. Then, as the Devil inches closer to finally telling her the truth about his feelings, he stumbles across a shocking development that threatens to change everything.

Amenadiel begs Charlotte to help him with an important plan, and Maze remains devoted to a task from which Pierce asked her to back away. Entering its third season, the story of the original fallen angel continues. As Season Two came to a close, Lucifer took care of a little problem called Mom, aka Charlotte (Tricia Helfer). But now he’s facing an even greater challenge – finding out who kidnapped him, and why his angel wings are back. In addition, Tom Welling (Smallville) joins the cast as Marcus Pierce, an accomplished police lieutenant who is everything Lucifer (Tom Ellis) is not – strategic, reserved and well-respected. But perhaps even more annoying are all the things they have in common. Both men are charming, charismatic and handsome as hell. So when Pierce starts developing a connection with Decker (Lauren German), Lucifer's devilish traits are inflamed.
