Batwoman thoughts: this was a solid episode, stronger than the last several episodes. Not a good episodes, but certainly a step back into the right direction.

I think most of all this was a pretty good episode for Kate and Batwoman. There was probably the best Batwoman fight scenes we have seen all season (including a nice continuous shot sequence), and Kate finally had some character growth.

On the other end of the spectrum, this was another unflattering episode for Alice. A character that started out promising has become a bland, uninspired, cliche and stereotypical villain who ultimately isn't exciting or interesting anymore. She is just making the motions. Her actions are stupid, her persistence on villainy after everything she has received, the stupid and illogical arguments she decides to make, I really have lost all interest in this character. And for a show that has so far kind of struggled to find its footing (it started out promising but then slumped), I think a big part off the problem is Alice and the plot that involves her.

The only good part of Alice's actions tonight was where it left character. As I mentioned above, finally some character movement forward for Kate who finally realizes that at some point, if a character says they won't change, well duh, they probably won't change. Yeah, she should feel guilty about what happened tonight because she has really done nothing to stop Alice. I also thought that what happened with Jacob was good too.

Never liked Katherine so her death doesn't have much of an impact on me. And Sophie... jeez, what a completely unlikable character who frankly has a terrible personality and is a pro at damaging those around her.

Wonder if Sophie will eventually become the shows version of Flamebird or maybe Blue Bird or Spoiler
