SUPERGIRL: Kara Battles Another Worldkiller In New Photos From Season 3, Episode 13: "Both Sides Now"

The CW has gone ahead and released twenty-two new promotional stills from next week's midseason finale of Supergirl, featuring a first look at Kara battling the second Worldkiller, Purity! Check it out!

While tonight's episode is expected to be mostly Lena-centric as she once again finds herself at odds with Morgan Edge (Adrian Pasdar), next week's midseason finale will shift the focus back to the season's main storyline as Kara finds herself in an epic duel with not one, but TWO Worldkillers!

According to the synopsis, Supergirl and the DEO will actually successfully capture Purity (Krys Marshall) before she somehow escapes and starts wreaking havoc in the subway - where she also encounters Reign (Odette Annable) and join forces with her destructive sister. Plus, the new photos also seemingly tease that Lena may be getting dangerously close to uncovering Sam's secret.

THE DEO CAPTURES ANOTHER WORLDKILLER - The DEO captures a second Worldkiller, Purity (guest star Krys Marshall). Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) and Alex (Chyler Leigh) use very different methods of interrogation with Purity in the hopes of finding out how to defeat Reign (Odette Annable). However, Purity escapes and attacks the city's subway tunnels. Meanwhile, J'onn (David Harewood), Winn (Jeremy Jordan) and Mon-El (Christopher Wood) band together to fix the Legion ship. Jesse Warn directed the episode written by Jessica Queller & Paula Yoo (#313). Original airdate 2/5/2018.

As Superman’s cousin, Kara Danvers (aka Supergirl) balances her work as a reporter for CatCo Worldwide Media with her work for the Department of Extra-Normal Operations (DEO), a super-secret government organization whose mission is to keep National City – and the Earth – safe from sinister threats. At the DEO, Kara works for J’onn J’onzz, the Martian Manhunter, and alongside her sister, Alex, and best friend, Winn Schott. Also in Kara’s life are James Olsen, a photo journalist who moonlights as Guardian, a masked vigilante, Lena Luthor, and Mon-El of Daxam, whose planet was ravaged by Krypton’s destruction. In season three, Kara and team will come up against a new threat in the form of DC Worldkiller, Reign.

The pics are cool as they appear to tease an underground fight in the subways that is gonna escalate all the way to the surface.

Its nice to see Alex back to fighting as well, she hasn't had much action in this Season compared to S1 and also S2.

Is she the one being stomped by Reign too or not?

Seems that Winn and J'onn are planning on using some of the tech from his space car to fix the Legion's ship.

Sucks that after that one the show will go on a hiatus until Legends ends it's Season on April.

I don't feel the CW needs to strictly impose their "no more than 4 comic shoes at a time" rule. Chopping up the seasons like this just doesn't seem to help, and just seems unnecessary.
