SUPERGIRL: Kara Battles The Worldkiller In New Photos From Season 3, Episode 9: "Reign"

Things are about to get very real on Supergirl next week when Kara comes face-to-face with her greatest adversary yet: Reign! Plus, love may be in the air. Come check out twenty-four new photos now!

After taking down her evil doppelgänger Overgirl in the four-part "Crisis on Earth-X" crossover, Kara (Melissa Benoist) returns home next Monday night and finds herself in an even deadlier situation when Reign (Odette Annable) begins her reign of terror on National City.

However, while the next installment will definitely see the two square up for battle, it looks like we're also going to get a little twist at the beginning of hour when Samantha shows up with her daughter at the Danvers' sisters Christmas party. Her intentions with Kara remain unknown, but we can probably expect more than a few tension-filled moments as she starts laying down the groundwork for their earth-shattering duel.

REIGN CHALLENGES SUPERGIRL - Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) investigates a mysterious symbol popping up all over National City, tracing its origins back to an ancient prophecy and the mark of the World Killer, Reign (Odetee Annable). Meanwhile, the tension between Lena (Katie McGrath) and Morgan Edge (guest star Adrian Pasdar) continues to build, causing James to step in and offer up some protection, and possibly igniting a spark in the process. Glen Winter directed the episode written by Paula Yoo & Caitlin Parrish (#309). Original airdate 12/4/17.

As Superman’s cousin, Kara Danvers (aka Supergirl) balances her work as a reporter for CatCo Worldwide Media with her work for the Department of Extra-Normal Operations (DEO), a super-secret government organization whose mission is to keep National City – and the Earth – safe from sinister threats. At the DEO, Kara works for J’onn J’onzz, the Martian Manhunter, and alongside her sister, Alex, and best friend, Winn Schott. Also in Kara’s life are James Olsen, a photo journalist who moonlights as Guardian, a masked vigilante, Lena Luthor, and Mon-El of Daxam, whose planet was ravaged by Krypton’s destruction. In season three, Kara and team will come up against a new threat in the form of DC Worldkiller, Reign.

Haven't really liked this season very much. Believe me, it had cool episodes, I even liked some Alex/Maggie stuff, but so far it's pretty okay, not great. One thing I really can give the show credit for, it does a great job making you hate this guy:
