SUPERGIRL Season 4, Episode 3 Stills "Man Of Steel" Offer A First Look At Sam Witwer's Agent Liberty

We've known for a while now that Agent Liberty is coming to Supergirl and in these first official images from "Man of Steel," we get to see Smallville alum Sam Witwer in his human persona of Ben Lockwood.

Season four of Supergirl is off to a great start and there's still much more to come, including the introduction of several DC Comics characters who have yet to make their live-action debuts.

Among them is Ben Lockwood, a character better known to comic book fans as Agent Liberty. It's thought that he'll suit up somewhere down the line but this episode - titled "Man of Steel" - is going to put the spotlight on his origin story (which is set to include a guest appearance from The Walking Dead alum Xander Berkeley as the character's father).

XANDER BERKELEY GUEST STARS IN THE ORIGIN STORY OF AGENT LIBERTY — Ben Lockwood (Sam Witwer) didn’t always hate aliens. Through a series of incidents, and input from his anti-alien father (guest star Xander Berkeley), Ben slowly transforms from a mild-mannered professor into the villainous Agent Liberty of today. Jesse Warn directed the episode written by Rob Wright & Derek Simon (#403). Original airdate 10/28/2018

The good thing about this flashback is that it isn't going to be a self-contained story while in the present Kara and the rest are focused on saving her life but the villain's origin will be tied to past Seasons of the show, this way we get to see the characters or at least half of them from previous stories involved in the big bad's evil-coming-of-age tale so it won't feel like a filler.

Curious to see how it goes tbh.
