We've seen a few photos of the new costume Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) will receive in the upcoming season of The Flash, and now we have a great look at the suit Nora West-Allen (Jessica Parker Kennedy) will don in Season 5.

Fans already got a tease of Nora's costume at the end of the Season 4, but the set photos below provide a much better look at what the hero will wear when she races into action.

The outfit's color scheme is not only a call back to Iris' (Candice Patton) brief time as a speedster, but it's also a nod to the Tornado Twins, who are Barry Allen's children in the comics. Also, the suit's logo is a nice tip of the hat to the character XS, another descendent of the Scarlet Speedster.

However, while the costume may reference a number of DC Comics characters, Nora will strictly go by the code name XS when performing her heroic duties.

I hadn't seen the third batch of pics in the last tweet, I can appreciate more the suit now. And apparently those scenes are in the future?

Interesting.

Can't wait to see her standing next to her dad in his new costume. ;)

Why didn't they just use Bart? So stupid.

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - Probably because their attempt with Wally wasnt that successful. Plus who knows, maybe WB has some sort of restriction of Bart Allen tied to the movies.

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - When you've got a choice between A) Jessica Parker Kennedy or B) Anyone else... Choose A. Every time.

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - Because the longer play for the extended Berlantiverse is to establish the Legion of Superheroes. Quite a few members have either been portrayed or named dropped on Flash and Supergirl.

I like this show but is it just me or does it have too many speedsters?
Barry, Wally, Jessie, Reverse Flash, Zoom, Savitar, Jay and now this woman.
We'll probably get Bart and Godspeed at some point too. That's a lot of characters with the same powers. I know it's the same in the comics but still...

@ChrisRed - There are way way too many speedsters. It makes sense in the same "hero faces a dark reflection" way that most heroes have, and it's one of the few ways to actually balance what is an almost unbeatable power set. And for a TV show, it's cheaper to reuse the special effects regime they've developed. (The Thinker stuff is a standout, because it really did revolve around a deeper, bigger conflict with a non-speedster, and was probably the strongest big bad they've had.)

But even so, it's still a lot of speedsters. For so much of the show, the artificial tension has been about whether Barry can run fast enough to do X. Without easy cheats like that, I would imagine the show would have to shift significantly toward the more philosophical, like the nature of time and the Speed Force, or even devolve more into soap opera with superheroics as more of a background context.

Lots of speedsters help keep the show balanced near that original formula. TV loves formula.

@Spock0Clock - I get why they use all the speedsters (effect cost, unbeatable power, evil counterpart and so on)
However it's beginning to be too much. I was so happy when they used the Thinker, finally something new.
But season 1 was still the absolute best. Hopefully Matt Letscher Thawne return as a main villain and some point.

Not perfect but it's one of the best costumes CW has made.

I like how they transitioned her gloves from the comics (just like the above post shows with the picture) into more modern gauntlets, they are cool. The yellow colored boots are nice too. Maybe Barry will inherit them or they'll come up with their own to finally make the suit fully 100% accurate. (Now it is a 90% IMO)
