@dracula - because Arrow is only 10 episodes, so they need to space everything out appropriately.

It was an okay episode. Not bad, not good, just there for the most part.

There were two scenes that I really liked: the Queen/Flash/black hole scene, and the final scene with the Monitor. Still not entirely clear to me why the Monitor destroyed Nora's file.

I honestly found the intro stuff with Godspeed more interesting than a lot of the rest of the episode. Hope we pick that up again, seems like that was setting something else up.

The social interactions at various parts of the episode were super awkward and unrealistic at times; seriously, people aren't like that, and if they were, you wouldn't be hanging with them.

Also, I found kind of funny that Iris, who was standing next to the junkyard guy and not holding anything, was able to prevent the junkyard guy from flying into the black hole when she clearly should have also been lifted off her feet. And some of the dialogue man, stuff like "no one's ever gathered this much information from a black hole before," LMFAO who writes this stuff?

With regards to Bloodwork, his villainy was a bit too forced imo. I understand what he is trying to do, I understand his motivations, just didn't overly care for the writing there or portrayal of that behavior.

Still don't care for Killer Frost, but nice to see Ralph again. And Chester, looking forward to more with him.

Next week's episode looks better.

Seems like they are back to a similar tone to Season 2 and 3.
Good idea.
Season 4 was probably the lightest season, and while it had a great villain, it just had too much forced comedic moments.
Seaon 5 had a good tone outside of a few comedic moments, and while Cicada was good, he just was not a good enough villain to last a full season, which is probably why they had the second Cicada, but she was just too bland. Luckily they also had Reverse Flash

@dracula - season 3 went too dark, season 4 responded to the backlash by swinging too far in the other direction and becoming too campy, and season 5 just stumbled and became too stupid.

Yeah, I guess its the closest to a season 2 tone that we've had in a while. I could kind of tell the change up behind the camera, so that's a plus.

Nice premiere that set up a lot of stuff.

They are cooking something up with Godspeed that feels like it is being saved for the next half of the Season. No one sends during summer all the way from the future 4 clones that are not even the real Godspeed without a purpose.

I thought that the MAC chamber they built was going to be used next week for Barry to glimpse at all the possible solutions for Crisis but seems it'll be used to make this Chester guy to recover. TBH I am literally very neutral about him. I think I'd rather have Curtis around than him, maybe I'll change my mind later.

Ralph's storyline involving his future one and only, Sue Dearborn, was also set up here.

I get from where Ramsey is coming from, he is in a lot of pain and angry with what happened to his mother. At least he used himself as his own guinea pig for his own research. But Caitlin was right about the differences of the metahuman cure's use and his own: the former was to stop Cicada from killing or turn his victims into humans so that they weren't targets. And obviously the metahuman cure was a lot more carefully designed because his HLH just turned him into Bloodwork.

Iris' scene with Cecil and Barry about Nora's absence were good, specially when she said she wanted to be swallowed as well by the black hole when she lost her jacket.

I kind of want them to play again Queen's Flash in the finale because it fitted nicely here when Barry jumped inside the black hole.

Ralph's had a lot of good character moments with both Caitlin and Killer Frost and this one was another. It is going to be interesting how Killer Frost approaches the Bloodwork situation since she isn't the one that knows him like Caitlin does.

Turning the standee where Thawne's suit used to for 5 Seasons into a tribute for Nora with her costume there instead of his was a nice touch from Barry.

If Oliver made a deal with The Monitor to spear Barry and Kara, why is he then telling him that he has to die as well for many to live? What is the catch.

Can't wait for next week.
