Earlier today, we told you about a rumour that Godspeed is coming to The Flash and intriguing new set photos have revealed his comic accurate appearance! Could this be a new identity for a familiar rogue?

Well, Godspeed is definitely on his way to The Flash as some new set photos have revealed the villain in all his glory! As you can see, he's decked out in a comic accurate costume and looking very much like you would expect an evil speedster to appear. The question is, who is beneath the mask?

In the comics, he was a colleague of Barry Allen's in the Central City Police Department. August Heart gained his abilities from a Speed Force storm and started killing criminals with the use of his newfound powers. He also started taking out fellow speedsters in a bid to gain more power and so it's easy enough to imagine how he'll factor into the show.

However, we have a slightly different theory. If you look closely at these images, you'll notice that these scenes appear to be set in the future (there's a sign seemingly promoting the Flash Museum). On the one hand, it's feasible that this is just a random bad guy from that era but, on the other, you have to believe there's a possibility this could be Eobard Thawne.

He claims to be reformed, and so him ditching his Reverse-Flash persona to take on the mantle of Godspeed certainly makes sense, and it's easy to imagine that he'd give himself a name like that!

What are your theories? Let us know in the comments section down below.

I'm having a hard time catching up with The Flash and Arrow. I'm about 3-4 episodes behind and just dont have the motivation to watch them.

Okay, now that's interesting.
Tbh, I dropped the series during Season 4. But this might get me back.

I think he's going to appear only for a few moments and only in mask. This will be a tease for next season's big bad. That's what I'm hoping at least, you never know what garbage their writers end up writing these days.

@RageDriver2401 - the title of the ep I think is Godspeed so not sure that’s the case lol

@whynot - it still could be about the problem that is Godspeed in the future but not feature him predominantly. Maybe Thawne is required to work with Nora to bring back The Flash so he can take on Godspeed.

But, like I said, writers are doing a dog shit job lately. They might just waste a villain like Godspeed as a meta of the week.

@RageDriver2401 - I agree actually I watch flash weekly bc I come to far mentality more then I think the show is on par with how it was once upon a time. I actually never LOVED the show since mid season 2. I’m not saying there weren’t good moments but arrow at this point has been a much more compelling show with less villain of the week moments. I was telling my son a villain like captain cold could have been a season villain. Grood could have been as well if they just used practically instead of CGI filled moments

I guess at the very least, this confirms the Instagram post you shared on the other article haha

So I was watching a movie last night and Jessica Parker Kennedy just so happened to be in it; she played a minor role, but her scenes really emphasized how much of a difference quality writing makes in how a character [she plays] is portrayed.

@HeavyMetal4Life - What was the movie?

@Forthas - it was this Netflix thriller called CAM. It had a high critic rating so I checked it out. It was an interesting movie, very explicit but intriguing.

@HeavyMetal4Life - that's the case with a lot of actors on the show. Tom Cavanaugh used to be my favourite thing on the show S1 and S2. Now they've just made him a running gag. Even his Thawne lines are badly written. Same thing with Gustin, he has shined in some episodes like the Kevin Smith's speed force one, but now they just waste him.

@RageDriver2401 - yes, that is true regarding Cavanaugh, though I actually really like his Sherloque because he is the only character that actually acts smart and logical.

@HeavyMetal4Life - yea but they decided to give him that ridiculous French accent which doesn't sound very french. I can't take the dude seriously with it.
