Newly Surfaced TITANS Set Photos Reveal A Grounded Take On Beast Boy, Raven, And Starfire
DC is developing a Teen Titans TV series for its planned streaming service and some set photos have surfaced today showing a very different take on team members Beast Boy and Raven. Check them out...
The first officially released images from Titans impressed fans as DC's take on characters like Robin, Hawk, and Dove were all very comic book accurate and looked surprisingly good for a TV series with a middling budget. However, fans will no doubt have something to say about these new photos from the set of the series featuring Ryan Potter's Beast Boy, Teagan Croft's Raven, and Anna Diop as Starfire.
Considering the fact this trio all look very alien in the source material, it's fair to say that what we're seeing here is extremely grounded in comparison. Beast Boy's green skin has been replaced with green hair and Raven is missing her trademark cloak and hood (that could be added later on, though).
It's Starfire who looks most different from the comic books, however, because while she has colourful hair and a bright outfit, it looks more like she's on a night out as opposed to the costume we're used to seeing on the page. Still, these are just set photos so they could all look better when the official images are inevitably released at some point in the near future. What do you guys think of these images?
