Following the introduction of Donna Troy in the last episode of Titans, we'll be catching up with Hawk and Dove in this Friday's installment, which will serve as an origin story for the crime-fighting couple.

In addition to the flashbacks, it looks like the hour will focus on Dove's rehabilitation after her brush with death back in episode 2, and Hawk's attempt to come to terms with what happened.

Check out the promo for "Hank and Dawn" below along with a batch of promo stills, and let us know if you've been enjoying Titans so far in the comments.

"The origin story of Hank Hall and Dawn Granger’s relationship and the loss in each of their pasts that brings them together as vigilante Super Heroes Hawk and Dove."

Hank (Alan Ritchson) looks to be in distress. Is this after the attempt on Dawn's life, or back in his pre-Hawk days?

Hank attends some sort of group therapy session. Is this for the alcohol problem that was hinted at earlier in the season, or something else entirely?

So, it seems Hank embarked on an early career as a crime-fighting vigilante, complete with makeshift costume and a different Dove as his partner.

These guys seem to be enjoying playing superhero, but something tells us this doesn't end well for the dude in the Dove outfit.

Hank and Dawn (Minka Kelly) in happier times... or is this a shot from the present-set part of the episode? We're hoping for the latter.

Some more pics of Kelly as Dawn. You're welcome.
